I'd still like to believe he left her becauae he thought she wanted freedom. She didn't want the same thing to happen with Mariyam that happened with her, i.e., forced marriage .... because she was unhappy in the marriage and wanted a way out.

but i don't think this has anything to do with marriage .. would meerab want marium's life to be ruined ? with MZ?
