Chapter 1 — The Girl, the Watch and the Fight
Bengaluru — Eva Mall
The evening was unusually windy.
The trees outside Eva Mall swayed wildly as people hurried toward the entrance, trying to protect themselves from the sudden gusts.
Reyansh walked out of the mall with his phone in one hand, casually looking around.
Then he saw her.
A beautiful young woman was standing near the entrance, struggling to keep her hair from blowing across her face.
Reyansh stopped walking.
His eyes remained fixed on her.
Reyansh: "Wow…"
He smiled as he continued watching her.
Reyansh: "Bengaluru has always been beautiful… but today, it looks even more beautiful."
He began walking backward while staring at her.
He didn't notice the open maintenance hole behind him.
Reyansh: "Just one more look—"
Suddenly, his foot disappeared into the maintenance hole.
Reyansh: "Aaaah!"
SPLASH!
Reyansh fell straight into it.
The girl immediately turned around.
Pranati: "Oh my God!"
She ran toward him.
Pranati: "Are you okay?"
Reyansh looked up at her, completely stunned.
Reyansh: "You…"
Pranati: "We can introduce ourselves later! First, let me get you out!"

She grabbed his hand and helped pull him out with the assistance of a nearby railing.
Reyansh climbed out, covered in dirt.
Pranati examined him anxiously.
Pranati: "Are you hurt?"
Reyansh: "No."
He smiled at her.
Reyansh: "You saved me."
Pranati: "Yes. Otherwise, you would still be inside that maintenance hole delivering romantic dialogues."
Reyansh laughed.
Reyansh: "How did you know I was delivering a romantic dialogue?"
Pranati gave him an unimpressed look.
Pranati: "Your face gave it away."
She turned to leave.
Reyansh watched her walk away.
The song plays
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare
Kannatumba Ninnannu Na Tumbikondehenu
Ninninda Nannannu Na Kandu Kondenu
Nee Yaaro Kanenu Nannolle Neenu
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare

Reyansh dreams about Pranati.
Onde Kshana Yeduriddu
Aa Onde Kshana Yeduriddu
Nanna Ee Balanu Ne Singariside
Nanna Maimanasanu Ne Aavariside
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare
Kannatumba Ninnannu Na Tumbikondehenu
Ninninda Nannannu Na Kandu Kondenu
Nee Yaaro Kanenu Nannolle Neenu
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare

Reyansh dreamed about dancing with Pranati in a dance hall.
Ninna Nagu Nodidaaga
Ninna Nagu Nodidaaga
Hagalallu Saha Tili Baledingalu
Suridantaitu Savidantaitu
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare
Kannatumba Ninnannu Na Tumbikondehenu
Ninninda Nannannu Na Kandu Kondenu
Nee Yaaro Kanenu Nannolle Neenu
Onde Ondu Sari, Kanmunde Baare

Then he noticed something lying on the ground.
A small heart-shaped watch.
He picked it up.
Reyansh: "Excuse me!"
Pranati didn't hear him because of the strong wind.
She continued walking.
Reyansh ran after her.
A powerful gust suddenly blew her dupatta across her face. She stopped to adjust it.
Reyansh stopped too.
For a moment, they looked directly into each other's eyes.
Neither spoke.
Then Pranati noticed the watch in his hand.
Pranati: "Oh, my watch!"
She reached for it.
Pranati: "Thank you. I just bought it."
Reyansh handed it to her.
Reyansh: "It's heart-shaped."
Pranati: "Yes."
Reyansh: "Was it a gift from someone special?"
Pranati smiled.
Pranati: "No, I bought it for myself."
Reyansh looked impressed.
Reyansh: "Interesting."
Pranati: "Why?"
Reyansh: "Some people give their heart to someone else. You decided to keep yours with yourself."
Pranati shook her head, amused.
Pranati: "Do you talk like this to every girl?"

Reyansh: "No."
Pranati: "Then?"
Reyansh: "You're the first."
Pranati tried to hide her smile.
She turned away.
Pranati: "Goodbye."
Reyansh: "Goodbye… Miss Heart Watch."
Pranati looked back at him.
Pranati: "And you are… Mr. Manhole."
She walked away.
Reyansh continued watching her disappear into the crowd.
He smiled to himself.
Later, he noticed her name written on a receipt that had fallen nearby.
He picked it up.
Reyansh: "Pranati…"
He smiled.
Reyansh: "Even your name is beautiful."
Madikeri — Coorg
A few days later, Reyansh accompanied his mother, Anjana, on a trip to Madikeri.
The green hills, coffee plantations, and mist-covered roads offered a peaceful change from Bengaluru.
Anjana looked out of the car window.
Anjana: "Reyansh, enjoy the scenery for once. Stop looking at your phone."
Reyansh smiled.
Reyansh: "Mom, I'm not looking at my phone."
Anjana: "Then what are you doing?"
Reyansh looked outside.
Reyansh: "I'm looking for someone."
Anjana raised an eyebrow.
Anjana: "Someone?"
Reyansh immediately looked away.
Reyansh: "Nothing."

Before Anjana could question him further, Reyansh noticed a familiar face on the roadside.
Pranati.
She was walking toward a small roadside shop.
Reyansh's eyes widened.
Reyansh: "Pranati!"
He quickly stepped out of the car.
Anjana: "Reyansh! Where are you going?"
But Reyansh had already started walking toward her.
He was about to call Pranati when a man suddenly stepped in front of him.
It was Jaanu.
Jaanu had been following Pranati for a while. He had developed an obsessive belief that nobody had the right to come close to her.
He stared angrily at Reyansh.
Jaanu: "What do you want with Pranati?"
Reyansh frowned.
Reyansh: "What's it to you?"
Jaanu grabbed his collar.
Jaanu: "I have something to say to everyone who comes near her."
Reyansh removed Jaanu's hand from his collar.
Reyansh: "First, let go of my collar."
Jaanu: “And then?”
Reyansh: "I don't explain myself to people like you."
Jaanu's expression hardened.
Jaanu: "You don't know who I am."
Reyansh: "And I'm not interested in finding out."
Jaanu suddenly punched Reyansh.
Pranati turned around in shock.
Pranati: "Reyansh!"
Reyansh stumbled backward.
He wiped the corner of his mouth and looked at Jaanu.
His expression changed.
Reyansh: "You just made a mistake."
Jaanu's men surrounded him.
Jaanu: "Teach him a lesson. Tell him to stay away from Pranati."
Reyansh looked around at the gang.
Then he laughed.
Reyansh: "You need this many people to fight one man?"
Jaanu stepped forward.
Jaanu: "I won't allow anyone to come near Pranati."
Reyansh's smile disappeared.
Reyansh: "Pranati isn't something you own."
Jaanu charged at him.
Reyansh blocked his punch and pushed him away.
Another man attacked.
Reyansh ducked and struck him.
Another man grabbed him from behind.
Reyansh twisted free and sent him crashing against a parked jeep.
Pranati screamed.
Pranati: "Reyansh, stop!"
Reyansh looked at her.
For a moment, everything stopped.
Then Jaanu attacked again.
Reyansh caught his wrist.
Reyansh: "I had no problem with you."
He pushed Jaanu away.
Reyansh: "But you hit me for no reason."
Jaanu lunged at him again.
Reyansh blocked him and knocked him to the ground.
Jaanu's men hesitated.
Reyansh looked at them.
Reyansh: "Who's next?"
Nobody moved.
Anjana finally reached the scene.
Anjana: "Reyansh!"
Reyansh turned toward her.
Reyansh: "Mom…"
Anjana looked worried.
Anjana: "Are you all right?"
Reyansh: "I'm perfectly fine."
Pranati walked toward him.
She looked at the bruise on his face.
Pranati: "You're hurt."
Reyansh smiled.
Reyansh: "Are you worried about me?"
Pranati frowned.
Pranati: "Of course I am. You got hurt because of me."
Reyansh: "I didn't fight because of you. I fought because I won't let anyone disrespect me."
He paused and looked into her eyes.
Reyansh: "But if you're worried about me… then somehow, the pain feels a little less."
Pranati couldn't help smiling.
Behind them, Jaanu watched the two of them with burning jealousy.
He clenched his fists.
Jaanu: "This isn't over."
Reyansh heard him and turned around.
Reyansh: "You may have started this fight…"
He glanced at Pranati.
Reyansh: "…but you have no idea what you've started between us."
Pranati looked at Reyansh, surprised.
Neither of them knew it yet, but their unexpected meeting at Eva Mall had been the beginning of something much bigger.
The heart-shaped watch had been found.
But somewhere along the way, two hearts had begun finding each other.
