Hullo,

I need help. My younger brother literally woke up from a sleepy coma, scratched his stomach and requested me to make samosas with MINT SAUCE. Like who THEFEK does he think he is?

Anyway, I’m trying to make the Mint Sauce usually served with Pappadams or Tandoori Chicken at Indian restaurants. I’ve read a few recipes online and have watched a few youtube videos but I’m CONFUSED with some of the ingredients. The staple recipe online includes

  • Full fat yogurt
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Fresh coriander
  • Lemon juice
  • Garlic clove
  • Green chilli
  • Ground cumin
  • Salt
  • Sugar

However some recipes also include

  • Garam Masala
  • Chaat Masala

Now my question is … WTF do I do? To Garam Masala or to not Garam Masala? To Chaat Masala or to not Chaat Masala?

To keep this Bollywood related: SRK, Arjun Rampal, John Abraham, Hrithik, Aishwarya Rai.

Do you bake chocolate cakes too? Or just after 1am?

First of all, before listening to anyone's suggestion about whether or not to add anything - we need to know if they even have good taste. How do we find out? Imagine someone is telling you to add it but they find chocolate flavored ramen noodles tasty?!

I think everyone needs to disclose what they find tasty first. Even if they name something yum like tandoori chicken, they need to show us what kind. What if they mean this

We just have to be careful before we proceed.

OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - Now I’m seeing people add Ginger too! TO GINGER OR TO NOT GINGER? Watching all these videos is making me consider adding everything in. Fcuk it, FingerFetish fusion.

Why would I bake chocolate cake when I can just buy it? The same logic doesn’t apply because I cannot buy restaurant Mint Sauce and nothing else. 😬

Grind mint ginger and all the thing you mentioned in your post. Don't add garam masala or chat masala yet.

Once your grind everything, taste how is it. If it's good Don't add anything.

If you want more spicy add garam masala or chat masala but first take a spoon and add a bit or garam or chat masala and see how does it taste.

Lol! Don't add garam masala or chat masala.. add ginger only if you have GingerFetish too 😆 it would overpower other tastes so better to skip.

To keep it bollywood related - Garam Masala had john too so you may wanna add it. Lol.

I don't think you need either chaat masala or garam masala yet. Add it for flavour after tasting if you feel the need to.

I don't add ginger.

Good observation BQ. You’ve made a valid point. We require evidence before proceeding. Every member must attach a photo of their favourite food before their answer can be taken into consideration. ITS THE LAW

Look at that ..

Make sure when you blend it.. you do it in your sisters room. It's only fair she is invited to your samosa party too :p
