One person spoke to you rudely about the head scarf and you have declared the entire country of 1.6 billion as intolerant. But others cannot call Muslims as violent despite 100s of 1000s of people dying every year because of them? I agree though that it’s gross generalization to call every Muslim as violent just because of a few outfits like ISIS etc. However, your double standards are quite amusing to say the least.

As for the government offices in India, I don’t know anyone who gets treated with kindness- Muslim or otherwise.

The problem is that 'theory' is still believed and adhered to, despite all scientific proofs against it.

With all that gun violence in USA....and the theory that the immigrants are being targeted by the white supremacists.....now some of the NRI BJP supporters are panicking......ki unka kya hoga....one of them was crying how we are not safe even though we are US citizens....well finally it must be making them feel the plight of being at the receiving end in your own country. The feeling of not being safe.

I had decided I wouldn't reply to any further posts on this thread because I didn't agree with whatever the discussion had spiralled into and it was better to keep mum rather than add fuel to the fire but seeing what is happening, I need to say my piece and be done with it.

You can be proud of your religion without shitting on other religions and likewise, just because you choose to not hold the majority accountable for the acts of some, it does not make you less of anything.

I don't have a problem with politicians or political parties being questioned and/or criticized when they're wrong. It is also totally fine to make films that bring to focus important issues, as long as you're being correct in your representation and aren't exaggerating for dramatic effect.

The makers of this film claimed that this is the story of 32,000 women from the state, a claim they couldn't prove and so had to edit that bit out of their initial statements. This itself is the biggest evidence that creative liberties have been exercised and everything the movie shows, needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Inspired by real incidents doesn't mean everything shown in the film will be an accurate representation of reality.

Questioning the makers' motive or the storyline's credibility shouldn't award you the tag of a woke liberal who can't accept hard truths that expose the flaws existing in our society.

Here, everything from islamophobia to casteism in a state (a claim that belies the reality of the situation) have been discussed, all over a film that may not even be completely accurate.

Rather than focusing on how to stop the youngsters from falling prey to such terror outfits, the discussion has moved on to focus on stuff that honestly doesn't matter, religion of terrorists and political affiliations of the members here.
