Look at how he reacted after the second car accident, when he genuinely feared that they will be parted. He felt defeated and was devastated, but now he looked dead but resolute. It might be awhile before they reunite so he is stealing himself for being without her for sometime.

According to my ITV knowledge and also like someone said, Haya being the reason for misunderstanding looks more suitable for the separation but the writer in the interview told that Haya and Rohail will not be able to separate Meerab and Murtasim.

I think they will be able to separate them but separation won’t remain for long and Meerasim will get back together.
