Believe me this is similar to a real life situation. I know a person (my friend), she had a bad marriage. She conceived but her husband was not interested in the baby, wanted abortion. She did not agree, gave birth and got divorced. She got into a relationship post divorce and both she and her daughter was very happy with the new person. When her daughter was about 10 the ex hubby and MIL started visiting them. They wanted to maintain ties with the girl and kept on visiting. Now the girl is grown up 15+ she refused to see her bio papa and his family. She has not maintained any ties. Though there was no custody battle. Real life people have some shame.
