Anamika broke up with Arnav. I am not questioning her reasons here, but when she broke up, it hurt Arnav, a lot. He tried to reason with her, get back with her, but her actions were kind of ruthless and Arnav had to nurse a broken heart for almost an year.

So Arnav knows what is heartbreak and how it hurts.

Strange that the same Arnav never even spoke to Khushi why he wants out of the marriage. Remember here, Arnav is married to Khushi for a decade, she is not his girlfriend or a fling.

Really shocks me that he never reasoned with her few months ago how they are growing apart, and worst she had to come to know about the divorce through a third person.

Anamika was better to at least tell Arnav in person that it was over.

Arnav turned out to be worse than her.

Just because Khushi never expected big things from Arnav, just because she would be happy with little actions from Arnav's side, was it easier to let go of her? Maybe what Payal said was true, he never truly loved her. It was more a convenience from his side.

Also Khushi was not able to conceive, I am guessing. Was this one reason for her to distance from him or generally from life? It happens, it is really tough for women when they are unable to conceive. Some even slip into depression and many marriages have also broken due to the other partner not lending an emotional support during the tough times. How did Khushi take this situation? How did she deal with it and was Arnav aware of her mental state?

Lastly just want to add, irrespective of how or why Arnav slept with Lavanya, she deserves a bit of respect from her. He has slept with her for crying out aloud, don't treat her like trash. I don't care if he wants to pursue his relationship with her or not, but as a human being, she deserves some kind of decent behaviour from him.

Don't know how she is tolerating such crap from him.

Thank you for the long chapter.

Thank you! :) :)

You're correct. Arnav has done worse to Khushi compared to what Anamika did to him. I will never make excuses for him and his choices.

Also, your comment on Lavanya's part is totally reasonable. But the equation that she and Arnav share is yet to come into light in the story. At present, Arnav is snappier towards Manali who he doesn't like very much. His attitude towards Lavanya has been more of a careless one. Additionally, he is dealing with the consequences of his own actions right now. The divorce and what happened with his family has bothered him a great deal, despite him thinking otherwise. I like to be realistic here. With such a turmoil in his personal life which is stressing him out, he was bound to snap on a prying Manali, and Lavanya is really just caught into a crossfire.

Arshi and their reasons for not yet having a child will be addressed in the next few chapters.

Well written! The story summed up to me in one of your lines- when Arnav realised that Khushi was his home.

Looking at the way Arnav is behaving now, not sure if Shyam feels like a better person for now. 😊

This note is more about the issues in how I have read this story. A story written from Arnav's perspective and mainly his musings.

But I read it more from Khushi's plight. A bias due to which I have ignored many things which is part of the story.

Like in the prologue he is upset that Akash and Payal will not attend his anniversary party..thinks it is better not to have such friends. But when Khushi accepts the divorce talk without a fight..things start unraveling for him. He shows up at Akash door step and confesses his infidelity to him!

He was going to use his infidelity to force Khushi hand for divorce now is more concerned that it is not revealed in gossip magazines. Contradictory !

Life changing events has an impact. It may make us pause and reflect.

Divorce is a life changing event,a decade of his life too

One cannot help but like the 24 year old Arnav..he is caring, fair and honest.

Very different from the current arrogant, self absorbed 34 year old. The man who discussed nonchalantly and casually like a work project with Manali and Lavanya in a party..

how he was able to put an end to the blackmailing. .. intimate pics wil not be published.

Has he completely changed with time or lost his way.

For that I have to read the next few chapters.

I've been struggling to find words to write on this chapter. I want to throw something really hard at Arnav, La and her secretary. They seem very manipulative to me. I agree the 24 year old Arnav was not but he is now. He would've manipulated Khushi to agree to the divorce but her agreeing without any fuss has taken the air out of his balloon so to speak.

As a woman my heart goes to Khushi. I found her to be straightforward, I liked that she put down her foot on things she wasn't comfortable with. At the same time she didn't expect others, mainly Arnav to feel the same way.

You are so right about life changing events having an impact. Will force one to take a step back, reflect. Hopefully this Arnav would see where he is going wrong, who and what matters to his life.

Manipulative..that is so appropriate. The way they all were talking..was so self serving.

I think as woman we all do relate to Khushi's plight. Are you talking about not joining them in the bar? I agree but to many not drinking may be considered "dehati"😊

True. He was pissed at Akash and Payal, thinking that they were not ready to listen to his side of the story, and when he finally got a chance to talk to Payal she called bullsh*t on it and left. He was, however, not truthful to Payal and Akash correctly pointed out the reason. She would have told Khushi and now that Khushi had agreed for separation, Arnav simply doesn't want her to know. Khushi's reaction and knowledge of divorce really did throw him off balance. And the whole point of him backing out of his well thought out process is indeed what you mentioned. Divorce is hard, and he is getting the cold feet.

The last point, Arnav took care of the photos even before this whole mess began. Even when he was ready to tell Khushi. That's more of handling the mess due to professional reasons. What makes him a true jerk is that he knew Lavanya was upset about those photos, and for reasons one or other, he didn't think it was necessary to inform her.

As I wrote earlier, if i was Arnav of the story I would be scared of all of you! 😂😂😂. Nonetheless, thank you for being this invested in the story :)

Can I just wish that this big budget movie "Dariya" becomes a super duper flop and Arnav loses a lot of money due to that? 😃

We need some kind of sadistic pleasure too right. 😆
