Very emotional and beautifully written chapter.
Anamika broke up with Arnav. I am not questioning her reasons here, but when she broke up, it hurt Arnav, a lot. He tried to reason with her, get back with her, but her actions were kind of ruthless and Arnav had to nurse a broken heart for almost an year.
So Arnav knows what is heartbreak and how it hurts.
Strange that the same Arnav never even spoke to Khushi why he wants out of the marriage. Remember here, Arnav is married to Khushi for a decade, she is not his girlfriend or a fling.
Really shocks me that he never reasoned with her few months ago how they are growing apart, and worst she had to come to know about the divorce through a third person.
Anamika was better to at least tell Arnav in person that it was over.
Arnav turned out to be worse than her.
Just because Khushi never expected big things from Arnav, just because she would be happy with little actions from Arnav's side, was it easier to let go of her? Maybe what Payal said was true, he never truly loved her. It was more a convenience from his side.
Also Khushi was not able to conceive, I am guessing. Was this one reason for her to distance from him or generally from life? It happens, it is really tough for women when they are unable to conceive. Some even slip into depression and many marriages have also broken due to the other partner not lending an emotional support during the tough times. How did Khushi take this situation? How did she deal with it and was Arnav aware of her mental state?
Lastly just want to add, irrespective of how or why Arnav slept with Lavanya, she deserves a bit of respect from her. He has slept with her for crying out aloud, don't treat her like trash. I don't care if he wants to pursue his relationship with her or not, but as a human being, she deserves some kind of decent behaviour from him.
Don't know how she is tolerating such crap from him.
Thank you for the long chapter.
Thank you! :) :)
You're correct. Arnav has done worse to Khushi compared to what Anamika did to him. I will never make excuses for him and his choices.
Also, your comment on Lavanya's part is totally reasonable. But the equation that she and Arnav share is yet to come into light in the story. At present, Arnav is snappier towards Manali who he doesn't like very much. His attitude towards Lavanya has been more of a careless one. Additionally, he is dealing with the consequences of his own actions right now. The divorce and what happened with his family has bothered him a great deal, despite him thinking otherwise. I like to be realistic here. With such a turmoil in his personal life which is stressing him out, he was bound to snap on a prying Manali, and Lavanya is really just caught into a crossfire.
Arshi and their reasons for not yet having a child will be addressed in the next few chapters.
