Yes, she took her chances. She knew what she was doing. Especially since Murtasim had just made that confession. So, here, she needs to then stand up for what she thinks is right, which she did with Maryam, and then bear the consequences. I’m hoping for her they don’t involve Maryam being assaulted beyond what she’s already experienced.
