Consummation and then separation will only make sense if someone like Haya will force Meerub to leave. The whole child track and Meerub not telling Murtasim will make sense then and not otherwise.

After the whole eloping incident, I doubt confession and consummation aise hoga and let's say they move past the incident and are finally happy then Haya might manipulate and play games.
