I think a lot of times, society in general doesn’t take a man who is receiving unwanted/undesired attention seriously. I wish they show this perspective in a nuanced way.

Off my soapbox now. Devs discomfort near Amba is written all over his face and person - that sent me down this train of thought.

So true.. Atleast Indian society doesn't seem to have woken up to this issue u mentioned.. Sometimes men could be harassed too.. In few videos of Deepshika.. I felt IQ was going through that for real. It's never funny to watch .

me too! They are doing it well. I only worry that they are underestimating Amba. But today it seemed like she bought it.
Loved the entire sequence between kaushik and dev!

No it isn’t. I think they can address it in the show if they put some thought to it, but most likely they’ll make Amba seem psycho.

That's a very valid point sns dear, and since day 1 it has been shown that Dev is uncomfortable to the core with Amba's presence around him...

I think because of our conditioning, people don't realize that men too can get harassed, they too can face abuse! At least this show is trying to highlight this important issue faced by many men.... I will acknowledge this about them 👍🏼

Iqbal and Sneha are such natural, powerful actors that they are able to emote this aspect so naturally without going overboard!

You said it perfectly - conditioning - I was searching for this word. So much of it is conditioning - women are not supposed to chase what they want - when they do they become unlikeable and domineering.
Men are not supposed to say anything/do anything when faced with situations like this - they should put on a brave face and deal with it.

I am glad they are showing this, but I wish they address it too.
Iqbal and Sneha are fantastic! Sneha plays Amba beautifully. Her conflict between her love for dev, which doesn’t allow her to see him so helpless and her burning desire for revenge, to put him through the same pain she went through comes through so perfectly.

At the crux of it - she just fails to understand how dev ended up loving vidhi, and not her.

After long time I watched the episode and liked it.

Balanced and good episode. Logical and well executed.
now the game begins. Seems the cop who randomly came to temple will save hamla

Nothing novel in the plot or has nothing to do with show title. But common and tested plot seems not bad.

Yes conditioning or our biased way of thinking - I actually was fortunate to observe a Harvard professor - Mahzarin Banaji (Google her) who has done a lot of research around the subject "bias".

In the context of the show also, especially the dynamics between Amba and Dev - and why it doesn't ruffle too many feathers is precisely due to our biased way of thinking / ignorance that this cannot happen with a man in real life. After all, a man is supposed to be physically stronger than a woman and no woman will chase a man this way!

Straying a bit here, but I feel in NUKSH, after Dev, Amba is the next well written character, yes her character does stray a bit every now and then; but what you said is absolutely spot on - at the core she is conflicted between her one-sided; longing obsession with Dev and the burning desire to extract revenge from him... 🥺🥺

I sometimes feel that Amba's character deserves a backstory; especially her psychology of how exactly and when she became obsessed with Dev. Was it due to a flawed upbringing where she was used to having everything she wanted and hence is not able to come to terms with Dev's rejection?

Perhaps a short spin-off of about 20-30 episodes would suffice, bring back the OG story writer and director to create that spin-off and convince Iqbal and Sneha to play Dev and Amba... it will be a memorable watch for sure...

Just realized I have 3 weeks plus episodes to catch up on (when Amba took over Raichand industries)... so am just going to start:

April 10th epi: Amba and Dev's face-off was powerful, the entire scene inside Dev's cabin where Amba made Yogesh sit on Dev's chair and herself sat on Shantanu's chair was well executed... Amba and Yogesh planned really well this time and managed to outsmart not just Abhi but Dev too... that too in such a short period of time. Raichands were definitely left humbled, for sure. Amba and Dev's scene where she again makes her indecent demand was not unexpected (at least for Dev), but was very well portrayed by both Iqbal and Sneha 👏👏. This is Devrat Raichand that Amba is dealing with... he was not ready to leave Vidhi when he knew she barely had 3 months to live... now he is going to keep her even closer... the one who brings lasting peace to his heart... ❤️

In my mind, this episode belonged to the fireworks between Dev and Amba... let the games begin 👍🏼👍🏼 I'll have the popcorn ready!
