i feel MI did a blunder by picking him in advance last season and wasted 8 cr and a player’s place. they could have taken someone else last season and archer this season. pacers are generally mostly injury prone and some pacers when they are injured for long time, it becomes difficult and fragile for them when they come back. so when they are just back from injury they should be played as less as possible, and then slowly slowly make them play regular. archer did get his form back when he recovered but he was overused hence another injury. he played 2 international tours (all format i think) and IPL back to back, he was overused as a player who just came back from injury.

same happened with bumrah.

They should have retained Trent Boult instead of Pollard. Or should have bought him instead of going for Archer. Bumrah Boult pair would have made a wonderful pair. Their bowling doesn't have enough fire now.
