For KKR, it is the batting in the powerplay which has turned out to be their Achilles Heel - having lost 17 wickets inside the first six overs, most for any team in this IPL.

They have had a lot of catching up to do because of this, both while setting targets and chasing. KKR's spinners Varun CV, Sunil Narine and Suyansh Sharma have been doing all the heavy lifting with the ball while the pace department has been a let-down for the team.

Umesh Yadav, who was excellent in the powerplay in the previous season, has just picked up one wicket, and the rest too have disappointed. A combined economy rate of 12.46 for the pacers is a glaring issue for KKR.

RCB will be on the road for close to a month after this fixture, and will only come back here for the final league match of the season. Their form has been good, with back-to-back wins coming into this game, and they'll fancy their chances against an opposition that's lost four in a row. So much has changed in the 20 days since these two last faced each other at the Eden Gardens where KKR emerged victorious by a massive 81 runs.

Actually der pacers have failed big time. Only spinners are doing well. Der batsmen have failed. Der top order not clicking, all dependent on Venky, Rana etc. Senior guys like Russell n Umesh arent able to deliver to der potential and many other issues.

KKR have tried so many different combinations, but not much has worked for them. The bowling continues to disappear, having conceded three scores of over 200 already. And the batting has been way too inconsistent, with problems starting right from the top of the order.

Venue Details

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, has always been a good hunting ground for the batsmen as a fast outfield and shorter boundaries have aided them. But in overcast conditions, the surface assists the fast bowlers. Smaller boundaries make it easy for the batsmen to hit the ball in the air. Spinners have always had it tough at this venue.

Toss: To Bowl

There will be assistance for the fast bowlers under the overcast conditions during the game. The pitch will become easier to bat on as the game progresses. The side winning the toss would likely decide to bowl first on this wicket.
