Almost the perfect game for CSK. They travelled to Eden Gardens, dwarfed the home support by having a sea of yellow in the crowd and dished out a performance to match that support. Ruturaj and Devon Conway gave CSK a fiery powerplay start, with the latter getting another fifty. And then the innings was shaped by two somewhat forgotten men prior to this IPL. Shivam Dube and Ajinkya Rahane - two Mumbai born batters playing for Chennai, came to the Eden and absolutely smoked Kolkata. 18 sixes were scored in the innings, as CSK setup the highest IPL score ever at this venue - ending with 235. Then they got a dream start with ball, as Akash Singh and Deshpande got a wicket apiece in the first two overs. The KKR innings found some momentum when Jason Roy - who didn't open perhaps due to an injury - came out and went all guns blazing. He scored a 19 ball fifty as Rinku Singh played another noteworthy cameo, but it was always going to be a hill too high. Massive credit to the CSK bowling unit as well, who had two bowlers keep an ecomony rate under eight while the opposition tried to chase 235. Also, he may be batting at eight now but MS Dhoni the keeper, and MS Dhoni the captain is still contributing bucket loads to this franchise. Bowling changes on point, and giving the right motivation to this group. CSK are building a very solid side here...Stick on for the presentations
