In regards to how they are portraying Vaisakhi, they need to do more research since they're centring the story around a Sikh family.
Vaisakhi isn't just a festival, where we get dressed up and get together. Their outfits were honestly surprising and a little shocking - I've never seen someone dressed up as if they're going to wedding reception for Vaisakhi. There's a strong religious reason behind this day, it was the establishment of the Khalsa, and so respecting all the traditions, values, and sentiments that come with this day should come through on the show.
By having Angad and Manbeer continuously undermine Sahiba's devotion to Sikhi, Guru Sahib Ji, Seva in today's episode, it honestly shows them in a terrible light for me. Who are they to question someone's religious values? It's completely disrespectful, and it shows their massive ego's as well. Aspects like this about the show confuse me because are we supposed to hate these characters? Where are the redeemable points? They've given nothing so far.
And regards to any rituals, that is not allowed in Sikhi for a number of reasons. If Sahiba is fasting for some reason related to Vaisakhi, that'll be weird.
