Honestly, I didn't like the last episode. Ahad cameo was boring. And they should have focused more on Ummed and Farjaad and Umeed's journey. Something was missing. I did not like the fact that Farjaad suddenly became extremely strict and Umeed suddenly forgot her goal to become wealthy and suddenly wanted to work hard.

The only good thing about the show was Umeed and Farjaad's chemistry and AK and mim's chemistry. Ak and mimi had more chemistry in one episode than Sameer and Haya in whole show 😆. I liked the actress playing mimi's character. Hopefully she gets more shows.

Btwn some are saying we will be getting s2. I don't want season 2. It will only ruin the memories if s2 is bad. I will miss the show. But extending it doesn't make sense. The story is complete as of now.

Last episode was underwhelming. They tried to pack in a lot of story progression into one episode whereas they had been dragging the story aimlessly since last few weeks.

I also didn't feel Farjaad and Umeed's chemistry in this particular episode. The bonfire scene had more chemistry between Haya and Sameer than Farmeed. Similarly the live show part had more chemistry between AK-Mimi.

I usually like Hamza's acting but in this episode i felt like he was trying tooo hard to look 'affected' and in emotional turmoil. Sometimes less is more and today Hamza was over-compensating for poorly written dialogs.

Also, like someone mentioned in a previous post, post confession the spark between the leads start to fade and it was quite evident with Farmeed. They became totally different people ever since confession. Umeed suddenly straightens up her act n becomes mature and Farjaad suddenly acts like a 18yr insecure nibba.

Ahad's cameo was a good surprise and his scene with his younger brother was sweet . Star of the last episode was definitely the actor who played AK. He was very good in this episode.

On a side note, Socho Pakistan show would have gotten so much flak after the show ended. K Show ke producer ne apni GF to bumper prize jeetaya.. uske ghar walon ki gifts dilaayi, free pass diya.. sab fixed hai ,show rigged hai. 😂😂😂 Baki studio audience be like hum hi pagal hai jo yahan aaye hoping to win gifts jab ke yahan toh inka alag hi family show chal raha hai. 😋

I am very picky about Ramadan dramas because dedicating my attention to them daily amidst my hectic schedule is a big deal. In the past, my dramas of choice were Suno Chanda 1 (I skipped most of season 2), Ishq Jalebi (my all-time fav), and Hum Tum. Fairytale was my Ramadan drama of 2023 for many reasons, but most importantly, because of Seher’s performance.

FarMeed’s chemistry is the reason behind the show's success but we didn’t see it until their first interaction, in the second or third episode. Those first two episodes were all about Umeed and bringing her (and her backstory to life). The scene where she and Haya went to observe the stars at night and pray to her Allah Miya is what got my attention, and then, FarMeed kept it. I’ve watched Seher’s shows before, so I’ve seen her play the greedy vamp who wants shortcuts to luxury (Main Agar Chup Hoon) and her bubbly characters. She's done fine in both roles, given they were one-dimensional in writing, but here she was fantastic because she combined the motives and features of both to create a 3D, lovable character to whom we can relate. She’s shown us a motherless child who desperately seeks her father's love and approval, making us root for her, while also making us laugh at her cute antics (Chai >>>> Farjad, let's be real XD). We know her heart's at the right place, and she, along with her family (Aghu Jaan, humari pyaari Haya, and Chachu, to name a few) and her friendships with Mimi and AK, makes us laugh for the first half of the show. Hence, I appreciate that the finale was Umeed-centric, showing us her growth, AK's valid points about how changing Umeed is not loving her because her mistakes reflect her essence and desire for happiness, her reconciliation with Pasha Saab, and FarMeed's reunion. It was Umeed's story with the two men in her life and seeing the three of them together warmed my heart, especially when I saw Farjad being so involved with Umeed's family.

I wish the dialogues were different, though, something along the lines of "main humare beech ek jung rakhi Baba, aapki attention paane liya, etc. par aaj main hathyar daal rahi hoon kyunki aap sahi the" and saying how she accepts Farjad's lifestyle of punctuality, discipline, etc. because it's the route to real success in addition to what she said. She once said what Farjad has (his success and wealth) is based on nepotism (that his father built everything and all he did was take over) and so, I wish she'd said "aapke Baba ne mahal zaroor banaya aapke liya par usse aaj tak sambhalna aur aage leke jaana tumhari mehnat aur discipline ki widault hai, nepotism nahi. I'm sorry. Mujhe ye nahi sochna chahiya tha ki mere Baba ne mere liya kya kaamaya, mujhe ye sochna chahiye tha ki main unki legacy ko aur aage kaisi le sakti hoon, jaisi tumne kiya." Likewise, I wish Farjad apologized to Umeed for trying to change her or force the right path, like AK said, and not trusting her.

I love how Chachi's face went from disappointed that Umeed didn't accept the prize to beaming when Pasha Saab hugged FarMeed. Everyone was rooting for them.

Ahad's cameo wasn't as fun as I had hoped because I expected those dialogues with Adnan. I was pleasantly surprised about his exchange with AK and Umeed's dialogues about "sochega zaroor." Those scenes made it worthwhile to see him on the show.

I also started the show thinking Haya and Sameer would be the breakthrough couple of the show - the surprise highlight like Mishi and Hadi in Chupke Chupke - but it turned out to be AK and Mimi who, in a few exchanges, were delightful to watch.

I wish the inspector was in the audience and shouted out "aren't you two married" cause the deer in headlights expression of Farmeed plus the shock on Pasha Saab's face would be hilarious. Especially cause I want Pasha Sahab to learn that his Changez Khan Damad isn't as perfect as he seems kyunki Umeed ne uske andhar ka bacha, jhoota, aur dewaana jaga diya.

If I could change one thing about the show, it would be the writing. I wish it was more consistent and driven. I also wish we got to see more of Pasha Sahab and understand him - we know he loves Umeed and wants what's best for her, but her insecurities about his favouritism for Sameer are valid, and he is harsher on her than the others, she deserves an explanation - as well as a reunion between Umeed and Farjaad's mother because those two shared such a lovable bond in the beginning.

Also the grumpy x sunshine troope with SRK-Kajol vibes from 3KG has me screaming!!!!

TLDR: I am a simp for Farjad (and his flirting omg I die everytime), like the majority of this fandom, but I've only seen Hamza appreciated online, so I wanted to give Seher and Umeed the shoutout they deserve because she rivalled Hamza's performance. The way they played off of each other made their chemistry sparkle. Also some AK love because he was fabulous and like Mimi, so understanding of FarMeed (as individuals and as a pair, considering them both his friends throughout).

Exactly my thoughts. I liked the scene when AK became emotional. We could totally feel for him. The actor is so so good in both serious and comedy roles was so so good.

Bold: Lol true. Farjaad had no issues giving free pass to family. But had issues when Umeed wished to win crores 😆. If they wanted to highlight hard work is the key to sucess they should have focused from few prior episodes.

Episode was fine for me

Yeah it was rushed, all of sudden umeed realized that she should work hard and farjaad became so possessive.

Highlight of the episode for me was AK and mimi's scene. They had such good chemistry. i so wish we may get to see more of them.

I liked last scene of farmeed more than ther game show scene. Game show scene was too filmy 😂

Overall I liked Fairy tale, it's been best Ramadan drama this year.
