Since E20, there have been many instances (see below) which shows that Murtasim will not cross his limits and do any hanky panky with her without her consent. Until E31, it looked like she knew this too and some trust has been established between them in this aspect:

• He taped up the contract back. He himself said to Merub that until she consents to break those limits he will not
• They had slept in the same bed. Nothing happened. So she knows he respects those limits
• They had very intimate moments (gajra, dance, etc.). He was clearly very turned on. Merub also evinced acceptance/attraction/interest. He could have coaxed her to do more, crossed those limits, but he did not
• For Merub to pull her kambal night seduction act which she knew would get Murtasim really worked up, she had to be confident that Murtasim will still respect her limits and not try to do anything ghatiya. Ab agar aap ko dar ho ke ladka iss situation main kuch ulta seedha aap ke saath karde to aap itna confidently aur blatantly yeh kuch nahin karenge.

So I was SHOCKED for her to imply in E34 ke she thinks Murtasim is trying to cross those limits. It took her back to square one without any explanation for this backsliding in their relationship.

Lets play devil advocate what would have happened if Murtasim caught Maryam out with a boy, and no in this version boy is actually a good guy. He would have dragged her home, possible locked her up. But what would he do then, he would INVESTIGATE the boy who dares to entice his sister. I feel after every episode I have to remind myself and TBA, this isn't a story about advocating for if love marriage is correct or if arranged marriage is correct, or taking a genuine stand on any social issues. Meerab and Murtasim are fated to be, but come together under the premise of forced marriage to create tension in the story, the premise was never a crime it was destiny. Discussing forced marriages being wrong, justice for women is all irrelevant, just as pointless as discussing if pixie is psycho or not.

TB is about a man's POV and how he gets to his happily ever after. He is on a journey through his trials and tribulations to win his love. The woman he loves is his test and she will put him through his trials. The woman he adores has lost her identity, her sense of self and is a confused individual with self esteem issues. She is not able to see, recognize or believe in her husband's love for her, because the betrayal she faced has destroyed her ability to love. Her judgement is compromised partly because of her trauma and partly because she is naive. Through his trials he not only has to help himself he has to help her too. What is a kingdom without a King, and what is a king without his Queen. The king has to save his realm, as his Queen strives to earn her title. Long may they reign.

The main reason meerab is « bashed » or not understood is because they showed murtasim too much in love. He fell in LOVE right away!!! And wahaj as murtasim is just WOW..

So for us its hard to understand when the entire world is in LOVE with him, how is meerab still indifferent!!

I agree to this point... that why we want meerub to reciprocate.

But everyone falls in love differently. He fell first but she will take her own sweet time.. this is the slow burn in this story..
