Murtasim: this guy is starving for Meerab’s love. At this point, I don’t even think he cares much about sex. He is seriously yearning for just some simple hand holding, a hug, some words of affection even. I think if he even gets some basic affection from her, he will continue hanging on for her. However, if she continues this way, woh dil se utar jaegi. This loner feudal lord just needs a soft touch and some nice words from his wife and he is not getting even that. Two of his dialogues recently were very worrisome.

Also he is suddenly saying being loved is anmol. I wonder if this is why he will say yes to Haya or consider her for marriage. Because Haya has left no doubts in anyone’s mind about her love for Murtasim

Meerab: she is living among people who clearly don’t care enough for her or don’t view her as an equal. Murtasim wants to love her but it has to be his own way. He does not spare time to assess what it is that Meerab wants. They are both sitting there happy about Maryam’s in-laws encouraging continued studies after marriage and they can’t see what they took away from Meerab? Ma Begum is one selfish woman. Murtasim is too regressive for Meerub. And they are hypocritical.

Meerab can’t go out without informing (she gets taunted because she does), can’t study, can’t leave the god damned car without Murtasim’s permission. Her problem is she is being treated as “bhed” who is tied down (in her own words). Until recently he did not take seriously her objections against Hayas advances. Until Murtasim recognizes and encourages Meerab’s agency, she is going to have a hard time giving in.

They are truly a mismatch. They have to come a long way to meet in the middle.

[Green] I am not entirely sure if this is still applicable. In E32, MB's biggest gripe was ke Merub doesn't need her permission to go anywhere. Even in this episode, she says acha tumhe saas ki yaad aagayee. Earlier, to meet Rohail at the restaurant she also went without telling anyone, I don't think she is so bound anymore.

[Pink] I also think this is foreshadowing that Murtasim will be willing to let her go. So far he has been like chodna hal nahin, chah ke bhi nahin chod sakta. But these lines you reference suggest that Murtasim ki bhi bas hojani hai jaldi (in E32 he also said ke agar khush nahi rakh sakte to shaadi nahin karo). Unfortunately, as things stand now, if this were to trigger Merub's confession of love, it will not be believable or impactful (at least to me).

Fawad had that haughty look PACKED DOWN, no one does it like him. Both his classic characters are rich, spoiled, superiority complex men. So the way he looked at Kashf and Khairad were like yeah I know I am special and you are special because I like you.

Murtasim brings out endearing and vulnerability when he looks at Meerab, even though they are meant to be he feels insecure because she has not confessed yet. He is always scared of losing her so there is a tinge of melancholy. This couple has a sense of doom around them because of their volatile personalities, as much they are each other's shield, they can become each other's undoing.

U just wring my heart with these notes! Stop it !
