Meerab is very alone. Alone in the sense that she has no one to talk to. It’s mostly her fault. But the relationship she has with MB, Marium, Anwar and Karachi wale are very strained. She had her phone switched off until very recently and speaks with no one.
In that time she’s been going through a whole lot but she has no one to talk to. When she meets R ( who she didn’t know was a psycho at that point) she facing the pregnancy karnama and even Murtu isn’t there so she mindlessly just goes on to share it with R . Because she has no one…
I don’t think it registered much in her mind the implications of what she had shared.
She has known R for a few years we have to assume, he is her friend and given her naivety it is understandable that she keeps giving him chance after chance after chance. We always see Meerab through Murtasim eyes and she almost always is in a standoffish badtameez confrontational mode. So we forget what she is like to others. She is a good, kind, warm hearted person. She is only cut throat with Murtasim and not with others. If I start going into detail about explaining why that is, this will become another essay.
Falling in love with her isn't a crime, so she doesn't see the need to treat him like he has the plague. Perhaps this is liberal vs. conservative thinking, but I have girl friends who are still besties with boys who had fallen in love with them, it depends on the guy and how mature both parities are, it is about accepting and moving on. R we know is a pathetic loser and he doesn't deserve Meeru's chances, but Meeru doesn't know this yet but she will soon find out. She will make mistakes and learn from them, that is life.
She doesn't realize what she did when she shared intimate details of her marriage with a male friend, especially one that is obsessed with you and what trouble she is going to be in now because of this. She was wrong, just as Murtasim is wrong to indulge Harpie because she is his cousin. They are both duffods and let third parties interfere in their marriage. This isn't a competition of who is doing the bigger mistake. They both screwed up and hopefully will learn from them. When will Murtasim finally quit on Harpie, she tried to kill your beloved wile, the one you can't without you DUFFOD. Meeru you need to wisen up, no one is more important than you not even your ideals. And just like Murtasim demands keep yourself safe first, and don't put yourself in harms way.
