Why doesn’t Murtasim consider Meerab’s feelings/opinions? First in Haya’s matter and now in Mariyam’s matter. Why doesn’t he take her seriously?

Haya is exactly like how Maa Begum and Murtasim want Meerab to be. Then why didn’t Maa Begum get Murtasim married to Haya. According to writer, people will automatically fall in love after marriage. So going by that logic, Murtasim would have fallen in love with Haya after marriage.

I Beg to differ here! Last I remember my mother dearest presented me as meerab’s groom on her birthday!

I wasn’t informed of this decision earlier either! I was her present not other way round!

But the way the elders reacted to Murtasim’s rejection and Meerab’s rejection was different. Murtasim did not have to repeat himself till the time Meerab agreed to the marriage. But Meerab was pressurised so much.
