Sofia isn't shy & calls out the issues with pure honesty. I really liked that she has a reason to ask for her share in the parental property unlike her usa based brother and the nephews. She has has mild sarcastic humor but is also fun-loving and family oriented as well.

I'm actusally happy that this show for once has shown that our phuphos can be fun loving & modern. Maybe I might be missing on some dramas that may have shown paternal aunts in positive light but majority of the Paki dramas I've observed, the phupho is generically shown as plotting and planning in the families. Same applies for maamis/chachis vagera lol.

I guess phupho in general in Pakistan is not liked. Bilal himself ones said his mother don't like his phupho in an iv and shocked everyone 🤣.

Sofia as a character is well written. She is strong and independent and even with all the fighting loves her brother and his family. The equation they showed between aagaji's family and phupho is also very good. There is no sis in law fight or jealousy between shammo and Sofia and she is like a friend to Aaliya and tanya. I have never seen the actress before but she suits the role so well.

Yeah, it's a generic stereotype in our desi dramas so much to the point that I've seen it get joked around like in a desi drama, you're expecting phupho/chaachi/taiji/maami to be negative character or something like that stereotypical viewpoint. 😆

Now that you have said about it I cannot think of any drama with a good phupho/chachi/maami character 😆

Nothing is coming to my mind except ramdhan dramas like suno Chanda and chand tara were the aunties are good.
