Why would he think it is not genuine?? I am sure he will join the pieces together after Mariyam revelation and will think she was fake flirting but right now I don't think so.

Bcoz after the jump scene, murtu thought that meeru will never meet Rohail... but in epi 32, meeru has unintentionally made him insecure again.

Now, he thinks she is still thinking about Rohail and comparing his love to rohails's love. Then that mismatched word just added more fuel. He is hurt and he is fed up... that's why he is behaving cold towards her at times..
