@red: that’s where they touched rock bottom with Akshara’s character- she was pimping herself out to keep her fairytale family intact (just like Manjari).
There were major consent issues with what they showed in that episode and it is alarming that they show that kind of stuff and left it hanging there.

And going by Aariff-raff’s posts I don’t think he can fix or show consent as a learning opportunity for audience - we need an Uthkarsh with a more modern outlook to write that out.

What Aariff-raff showed that day made Akshara look pathetic because she was doing it for the wrong reason.

That woman was shown to be hesitant and shy even when she was madly in love and married to her ex.

Here, there is unaddressed trauma, she still cannot truly unlove her ex, is undervaluing and undermining herself and her priorities for another man. They did not address one issue of the list of issues her character has and directly jumped to whatever they are trying now. Attempt to romance is not as problematic as the timing, the silent mental insinuation that this has to work or else this glass house will shatter and thus maybe harm her and her son's current reality of a family. And showing her son prefers the adopted father to her to further the desperateness to stamp reality into the family.

@bold: Absolutely..And it's really sad that this is not what they even attempted to do. They just tried to replace one man with another but they failed to address the fundamental problem that the woman after the falls she got had only upwards to look to. And this upward for them is just a nicer better man...not fulfilled education, career or financial stability. The only Plus she has is that no in law or family member is torturing her now ..that's all. They could have showed this whole plot a lot lot better....a multi millionaire heiress will not be so foolish to not have a 20L security backup. This whole money angle is just to glorify this guy.
