Man.. does ghum get exhausting !! I found today’s episode quite deep ngl. Ghum rarely gives such heavily packed and layered episodes and here we go, we have one.

Ghum’s theme has always been past vs present. Should’ve been “Ghum Hai Kisikey Past mein”.. but today, more than ever, this show stayed true to its roots. It showed the conflicts that people face because of a troubled past and how sometimes, overcoming your past comes is not the same for everyone. It showed us 3 different attitudes towards past.

Satya is a man with a heavy past. Broken hearted lover, family pressure, blackmail yada yada yada brought him to where he is right now. He’s searching for a partner and a Bahu for his mother. He’s not looking for a deal marriage but a marriage of convenience. Where she marries him and he becomes a life partner, provided, there’s no concept of love. He’s not saying they’ll be strangers in a room, he’s not saying they’ll go different ways after the need is done. He’s just swearing off the conventional way of love in marriage. This is a man that acknowledges his past, accepts it and is willing to make sure that the other person is not affected by his past. He is the only sufferer of it. This view towards a life with him that Sai heard, can be seen as a contrast with Virat’s discussion at the time of their wedding.

Virat wants to relive his past. He want Sai, love and all the friendly moments of their past. And he’s quite impatient for it. And this has been a pattern with Virat since he rediscovered feelings. His gaze towards past has been selective. He wants to see the good parts and them alone. He wants to move on, yet remain in the past. And he wants to do so with Sai. Will Sai view it as the same is a question.

Sai, this eternally straight forward character. Doesn’t dilly dally. Wants to face the problem straight on. Sai essentially wants to move on and forget her past. She remembers what Virat has done with her and she’s willing to move forward. Ahead. Without him. Why’s she doing this ? Only God knows.

In conclusion, I have a few words for all 3 of them,

Satya, buddy, noble intentions of Swayamvar but not in a hospital.

Sai, darling, may the odds be in your favour.

Virat, my boy, Love is not enough.

I am just really concerned for the Dhol people though.. also, is it me or episode without Patralekha in them end up being really really really layered. And Virat’s hallucination was weirdly painful. Like this is man I once rooted for. He brought street food Sai with all those Shayari when he hurt her. Pre-Shruti Virat is 🔥. And somewhere after that, he’s just no longer the same. And today, his words felt hollow as if he’ll say all this and hurt Sai all over again.

I’d love to know what you think about it. I just tagged people I can identify 😭😭😭

Virat is a caricature of what he used to be. He is half in reality and half ignoring the reality. Hollow and shallow.

Its sad to see what he has become.

Probably he should be the first one to go get therapy and start to accept reality and his mistakes. Start to accept things went wrong and forgetting doesn’t mean what he did was forgiven.

In the state he is in, if Sai were to accept his proposal, same things would repeat because he can’t take a side🙃

For a moment forgetting everything you wanted the man you liked to get it... for old times sake... for closure ... for us and for him...

But then the end bit...

You recall everything and don't want it too... Sai forgave him too easily IMO... I want more.

Khair... my wish is simple... if BK and Jags can be redeemed ... so can V..

And this is the same team who did that not so long ago... probably his redemption has started but because the hurt is too much on our side too... and the mistakes too high... it needs to simmer and simmer for it to be worthwhile. 👍🏼

I feel like with Bhavani and J, the matter is different. Bhavani was always the villain. J was always the criminal. Their redemption doesn’t give you trust issues 😭😭😭😭 With Virat, the problem is he makes these all these grand plans, confesses his love and then betrays Sai in the worst way possible. And he doesn’t regret them. That she where my whole problem lies. I’m really neutral with Satya and Sai. But I’d rather Sai not have Virat than have him with promises that have sound so insincere.

Virat needs to own up to his mistakes honestly. His habit if not acknowledging the hurt periods of his part is genuinely concerning and if this was a real person he’d be a massive red flag. Like one that you can see from miles.

Agree and like I mentioned to you, part credit to both actors... they made it believable

I have no problem with Satya either. He seems to be a nice fellow. I just dont want this repeat cycle of deal marriage, family problems, solving them and stress... I want Sai to be happy... with or without V... with or without Satya.... but that is exactly not happening... Sai in pain is equal to more episodes 😆

And especially if this deal marriage is indirectly influenced by P!!!! SaiYa marriage is P's win. 😡

As for V, the first cue would be how he handles this divorce with P and if he gets manipulated by her again .. 😉. although my hopes are high because of the same marriage promo.

agar SaiYa wedding hota hai to V pakka single hai... how is he running to the mandir dressed as groom otherwise? 🤪

Also Jagtap though redeemed is not getting what he always wanted..

Same goes for Bhavani..Bhavani is not redeemed as such, she is just seeing that it works in the favour of family now that it's established both kids are Sai's. Virat loves Sai, he has no children with Patralekha, Patralekha is infertile and creates issues here and there..so she knows what's the best case scenario!!

It's not like she sees how they wronged Sai, how his family mistreated her and elevated Patralekha..She has not even tried sitting with Sai to know what she wants..Just manipulating a child to get her parents together and being civil to Sai is not what i see as redemption...as being nice and good.

Haven't seen the episode yet. Although, your analysis is apt👍💯
