InshaAllah you will be a better writer in future. π€
I liked diyar e dil but its YKS which moved me very much .. hope her next with Bilal is worth the hype. Writers now fall prey to the trp game and end up ruining their creations under the pressure of channel and production house
@ bold - you are too sweet.l,aapke muh mei Gulan jamun aur Jalebi,
I think she is a phenomenal writer, I agree YKS is far more moving - there is something extremely vulnerable in all the characters in YKS that she was able to achieveβ¦they touch a chordβ¦. Itβs also the world she creates in her stories!
In YKS I love love Hira Maniβs character, there is something so positive, so beautiful about her. She has lost as much as everyone else in that family, they are broken, but she isnβt. She lives and laughs for her son. Itβs so subtly shownβ¦itβs just brilliant. Everyone else is human, but Hiraβs character is a little above and yet never overdone or unbelievably unbearable.
In DYD I find OBβs character quite problematic in the way he treats Maya Aliβs character, but her writing manipulates us into buying his love, he never wavers from his beliefs.AND importantly Maya Aliβs character has a voice that is meaningful, relatable. But the brilliantly done part is the dialogue on emotional manipulation that Maya Aliβs character tells her uncle about her own mother. It is so well done. Never seen such a dialogue and writing in any show before. And of course the stoic and classy nature of Hareemβs character is chefβs kiss.
Have you read her novels??? I hear they are phenomenal.
