नवीन service provider चे मोठे मोठे towers उभे राहिले, त्यात mtnl, bsnl दबून गेले.

Of course त्याच्या आधी हे लोक मुजोर होतेच(हे थोडंस वादग्रस्त statement आहे).

मी या दोघांचा समर्थन करत नाहीये.

पण माझा मुद्दा असा आहे, की ही जी गळचेपी होतेय govt. Undertaking ची , ती पद्दतशीरपणे होतेय.

हळू हळू सगळंच pvt. होणार आहे.

Railways चं देखील privatisation होणार आहे म्हणे....

I think Indian public cha kal nehmich govt companies kade hota, aaj hi baryapaiki ahe. Govt baddal vishwaas asto manaat middle & lower middle class cha (not applicable for rich folks). Govt banks/ LIC madhe service agdi bekar ahe pan tarihi mostly sagle tikdech jaatat. Pvt banks parvadat nahit + tyanchya baddal khatri nahi vatat. So public cha vishwaas asun suddha jar hya lokanna business tikavta yet nasel, vadhavta yet nasel, service deta yet nasel, upgrade karta yet nasel tar mag privatization is not such a bad idea. Govt la pan hyanche pagaar, pension, PF sagla parvadayla hava na + strikes ani unionbaaji suddha astech.

MTNL, BSNL ची काय, कशी , किती आणि कोणी वाट लावली, हे आपण सगळे जाणतोच.

MTNL आणि BSNL ला एकाच कंपनीत परिवर्तित करण्याचं सरकारचा निर्णय झाला आहे, त्यासाठी १.६५ लक्ष करोडचं पॅकेज जाहीर करण्यात आलं आहे.

I have never had a single bad experience with MTNL the whole time I have been with them,

MTNL service has always been robust and solid,

MTNL landlines going down is an extremely rare occurance,

In case there is an issue, their technicians have always resolved the problem on first complaint,

MTNL charges have always been reasonable.

On the other hand I have had some issues with private service providers and they relent only when I threaten to port my business to other public sector companies. This does not mean private sector companies do not provide good service, they too provide decent service

The point is public sector companies function well if they are allowed to function.

The many bank frauds we have seen have been perpetrated in collusion with private sector companies. Vijay Malya and others were not exactly government entities.

About Mahavitran, it's decline started in 90's. Another issue is that of free electricity. When you provide free electricity to people even though they have not asked for it, MahaVitran will have to recover losses and they do it from their Urban consumers hence we see such steep price hike.

People not paying for tickets is unheard of, for me.

What is their contribution to culture?!! That needs to be investigated.
