I don't get it, why do they show characters as Telugu and then make them dress up as Tamilians or Keralites? Venkatesh is in the movie and he could've given the proper input on dressing? Also, the mark on forehead, horizontal one, usually tamilians do that.

Because it's easier to lump everything together as South. When Rohit Shetty did it in Kashmir se Kanyakumari song, did he get called up on it? And he should know better. I'm assuming Rohit is from Karnataka with the Shetty surname, albeit one that grew up in Mumbai. Deepika too could have corrected him.

Cool song though in other language will there be Hindi version ?

The scenery is nice but they should have a dubbed version because north won’t understand the song/

We have two telugu speaking states - Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Bathukamma is the festival celebrated mostly in Telangana. It's a women centric festival celebrating goddesses (bathukamma means 'maa be/come back alive' I think it's got to do with Sati returning fron dead as Parvati, though there are more stories with other godesses too) and they make these flower stacks as you've seen in the song and there is lot of dancing too.

Celebrating an exclusive Telugu festival while dressed up as Tamilians!

I appreciate their desire to please Telugu audiences they should have paid more attention to attire too.
