Although I think next two-three weeks' trp should inform us of a baseline trend (IPL's starting today tho right?) regarding Navra😆 I won't say they're accepted or rejected as of yet. When big track changes like these come, the overall trend that's looked upon is a little different. For example, if the makers really wanted Navra to take hold, they won't be looking at this week's trp alone. They're playing a setting game instead, and so their main motive will be to build up the couple over weeks with only one eye on the baseline. They've done this with Kartik Sirat Ranveer in gen 2 where the trps fell from 2.8 to 2.2-2.3 but since their end goal was different, alongside longevity i guess, the baselines and trends they were looking at were different.
Wished to ask something similar - I knew trps existed as a measure of popularity & I've watched some shows on and off before like Beyhadh 1, Balh 2, JNDSD, Ishqbaaz, Haasil but never knew trps held that much sway on d narrative as I've come to know after joining IF. So just wanted to know like how much decrease/increase in trp is considered significant cos don't these no.s fluctuate weekly.. What's d main aim of channel heads to be in d top 3 or be d slot leaders?
I'm betting the next week's trp will fall as well. IPL always affects rishta. Has had affected it more than the other shows in the past 2-3 years at least. So, what baseline, what time period, what storyline they're going for everything will play a part. TOP3/chart toppers just means money for the channel. The bigger the show the more money they earn.
I would say the TRP decrease was expected. Last week had some problematic things going on:
Abhinav behaving like an idiot after listening to Manyu's words. He withdrew from Akshu and came to his own conclusions. There was a rift in NavRa relationship. Abhinav's usp is his unconditional support to Akshara and always giving importance to her words. And yet he got influenced by Manyu's words, causing a doubt about NavRa future. Audience don't want to see confused people swinging from here to there. Why would they invest their time in a relationship that is ambiguous.
Akshara missing her exam. They should have let her take the exam and then got the case against Abhinav. Her law studies was an important progress post leap. They shouldn't have played with it.
They kept hinting that Akshara will call Manyu, since Abhir goes missing. Even though that didn't happen, the precap kept indicating that. I don't think the audience want to see Akshara depend on Abhimanyu for anything now. This is why I feel Abhir's illness track is going to backfire. Akshara and Abhinav going to Manyu for any help is not going to sit well with TRP aunties.
Excess of toxic Birlas. They are so repulsive, boring and irritating with their holier than thou attitude. Also there's not one likable person in that family. Makers should simply write off this family or keep their ss to minimum. There are other toxic families in ITV, but no one is as boring and useless as Birlas.
This TRP decrease is because of the backtracking they showed after the progressive stuff last week. Akshara finally took a strong stand for herself. They should have continued on that note, instead of putting a doubt in Abhinav's mind and hinting a possible reunion for AbhiRa.

It is too early to make such conclusions. Last week showed a very ambiguous future for NavRa. Half the time Abhinav was in his "I came between two soulmates" mode. Don't think the audiece liked that ambiguity. And they kept showing Abhinav and Akshara as confused, hinting that Akshara will call Manyu for help and Abhir will again connect AbhiRa. Audience seems to be bored of FLs going back to toxic relationships. Any hint of it is going to affect TRPs.

I would've preferred it if they showed a strong friendship between nav akshu instead of two minute noodle shaadi and random intimacy!
For me i saw nav as an angel in disguise for Akshara! The birlas mocked her goodness, she saved them girls life, so she was sent someone to help her!
However I'm interested in Aksharas journey! Don't care about incest wedding! And I find nav boring plus his eating up my connection with akshu!
Akshara in promos but you show random guys breakdown in episode! It's like arhu forgiving abhi for white day! Like I didn't know it was her in that room 😳
Anyway whatever the trp! The show will go on! It's been going on for 14 years!
