Does anybody follow katha ankahee on Sony TV?

I wanted a different perspective so I am trying to start a discussion here.

The show follows a mother who is an architect and also does other jobs when she can so that she could save up money for her son's treatment.She is very desperate,so much so that she even considers committing suicide so that her son could be saved through insurance money.

Eventually she asks her boss and this man is a misogynist and believes every woman can do anything for money coz when he was a child his father had an extra marital affair with someone who I am guessing was money minded.The boss says he will give her the required amount if she sleeps with him,he is "testing" her coz he wants her to "save" him by refusing the one night stand and thus proving to him that she isn't like "other women"(he doesn't know the reason behind her needing 1,17,00,000 coz she doesn't tell him)

Anyway the mother says yes,she has to.They sleep together,she gets the money in return and the child is given the required treatment.

The boss is disgusted,curious about the mother,fascinated by her(she had impressed him in their first meeting) and also somewhere guilty ig.But his guilt reaches its peak when he gets to know that she needed the money coz of her son's treatment.

Thus starts his redemption.The viewers of the show seem to be very happy and satisfied with his redemption,but I get very outraged by his character when I happen to watch that series.IMO He has been whitewashed since the start and specially since his redemption started he is shown to be a near perfect character(understanding, calm,extra supportive and kind,charitable).I feel he is given all these extra qualities to compensate for what he did to Katha(the mother).

And why should the audience be expected to "understand" and wait for redemption of a character who had misogynist thoughts coz he suffered due to one woman(and not only the woman,considering it was an EMA which requires 2 people)

So what are your thoughts on the show and Viaan's character and redemption?
