Every single scene of Ab today was mesmerizing.... that tadap to reach out to his Jr.... that fond fan-boy moment seeing the goal, and his pure, honest wish and prayers for him.... hit that soft spot its supposed to hit. Really some moments.

I have always wondered why Ab never thinks that Jr could be his son.... he feels more connected now, has witnessed some of the kids' nature, attitudes, and overall confidence of an achiever and acknowledges that he himself identifies with them and yet he never lets his mind go beyond the fact that Jr is Ak's son with Nav.

My take - in spite of what happened between them, he still deeply loves Ak. And i think that makes him inherently trust her. So in his wildest dreams, he cannot imagine that she would ever betray him. He can never think of the possibility that Abhir could be his son.... hope I'm making sense. His mind will not go there, because she has told him (and everyone) that Jr is Nav's and her's son. The possibility that she could lie in such a serious matter would never enter his head.....

If we think the D-day shattered him, we are wrong. He is going to undergo true heartbreak when his trust in her will be breached when Abhir's truth is revealed. And it will be worse than the mandir episode for him. And she is going to experience what living with guilt feels like, how soul-numbing that is.
