There were promises made last year with contracts etc and none were fulfilled!!!!

Now a days I’m finding Rishi over confident. Hope table turns on him by a different name announced as a winner 😆

If he is announced a winner, then repeat result as II12. Where as in season 12 PD and Arunita deserved to be a winner despite channel/makers threw in love angle forcefully. This season once again love angle so definitely don’t want bidipta and Rishi winner and 1st runner up.

So hope a surprise winner’s name this season.

Rakesh Roshan episode was pretty good. One of the better ones of the season.

Chirag and Sonakshi's opening duet was enjoyable, but Sonakshi was at a different level as Chirag per usual. Her solo was also quite good, even if she has had better days. Her second song was better than her first. Then she did even better with her performance of Rahe Na Rahe Hum. She's so likable.

I liked Bidipta's performance of Tanhai but she sounded off when singoing KNPH.

Chirag did good. He sounded a bit repressed during Tumse Bhad Kar, but the spirit was there. Like Sonakshi his second song was better than his first. I know he gets the ire of these forums because he made it over Senjuti, and he's not finalist quality, yet I'm happy about him making it this far. Rishi and Shivam stole the spotlight during his performance though. Kya jodi hai!

Shivam did great with his first song. Unlike half the participants, he's peaking at the right time. The fact that he even tried to sing a song like Ek Pal Ka Jeena is ballsy enough. I can't see him winning but if he did, nobody in my group will complain.

Rishi did good, better than he has in a while. It finally sounded like he wasn't coasting anymore. Maybe someone told him to step it up and he took notice. 😂

Debo never misses but her performance here was next level. I can't be the only one that thinks she's amazing every week right? What a heart touching performance. If the show was judged purely on singing quality, she should be the winner. But there's always other factors, so people like her rarely come away with the trophy. She's undoubtedly the best singer on the show in my opinion.

Debo and Shivam's duet was one of my favorite duets of the season.

Rakesh Roshan was a very good guest. Good stories, insight, etc. Elevated the aura of the show, but still stayed grounded.

Lastly I want to give credit to Haarsh. He's a much more tolerable host than Aditya. Never annoying and never takes away any attention from anyone.

Bidipta though good, is also over hyped , she can render only certain types of songs. She is fit for Rajshri productions easy breezy numbers. She is the least talented of the girls. It’s surprising that she is a finalist over Senjuthi. But then it was expected that they will take her till the finale to keep whipping up the non-existent romance 🙄.

The channel & the makers’ wishlist is to recreate the Arudeep magic.
Pawan was & is on a different plane altogether, just can’t be compared to Rishi. Though Aru was the better singer, Pawan’s demeanor & the disarming smile made it straight to your heart & and the vote banks. Whereas here, though Rishi is a good singer, his smug attitude is actually putting me off. Of course, it is a talent show, & we need to judge only on that & not on expressions & attitude.
Reg Aru Vs Bidipta , it doesn’t even merit a discussion or comparison.

So, finally Idol 12 was way different & above that of Idol 13. Pawan & Aru deserved to be the top 2, the order could’ve changed, that’s all, whereas Rishi Bidipta coming as top 2 will be a pipe dream, esp for Bidipta.

I hope Sonakshi wins with Rishi as the Runner-up.

Sunday March 26, Roshan Soecial.

Sonakshi was superb. Those few lines of Rahe na Rahe is by itself enough to hand over the trophy to her. 👌

Bidipta was just okayish, lost her Sur in between.

Chirag was good.

Shivam - as usual 2 songs very different , catching the mood perfectlly, once more with his stamp of versatality. 👍

Rishi - both the songs rendered very well. 👍

Chirag - Sona duet was good, Sonakshi easily scored over Chirag. But Chirag did a decent job, the song suited his voice.

The Idol 12 hangover was once again apparent with Debo bringing all together on stage with Thoda Hai Thode Ki, the way PD did with the top 7.

Though Debo sang well, it didn’t have the same pull even with Debo’s dad weeping his heart out

But at least this number was given to Debo & not Rishi.

Rakesh Roshan’s anecdotes esp the casting story of Karan Arjun sounded familiar, till I realized that he had narrated it in Lil Champs, if I remember correctly.

Harsh , was like Chirag, lacking the energy as an anchor. Next season, they should bring in Manish Paul.
So, Rishi strikes gold with the chance to sing for Hritik . But haven’t we heard all this & more, before?? Contracts have been actually signed in the last season. Heck, KJo had implored PD “ will you pl come to Dharma? “ 🙄😁. So seeing…. Rather hearing - is believing. 😁

I thought Bidipta sang really bad and especially the Ishq wala love - she was so out of sur - ruined the song for me
