The reason most are bummed is because Meerab's indifference is shown in a stark contrast to Murtasim's devotion in this marriage. That is where the writer somewhere failed to gain a neutral perspective for her main characters.

Meerab is shown like she is an antagonist in her own love story, she is the real villain in her life. They ignore her torment to showcase Murtasim herogiri. Her resistance isn't just there to undermine his love for her, but without her perspective she is labeled as being difficult for difficult sakes. Her journey in this love story is being compromised we can't deny that.

She had such a complex female main character at hand, flawed, resisting, to the point of apathy and all she had to do is give her journey equal importance, rather than reducing her to the female prop in this lovestory.

Also see even with 0 pov from meerab's side , we are still trying to connect/ or sympathise with meerab bcz of these expressions. ( hatts off to yumna 👏👏👏)

i suddenly remembered where writer told in itv that she had a frnd who accepted her marriage after her husband admitted her in college for further studies .

i think the same thing murtisim will do for meerab and that will be the turning point for her ....

I also feel MB will hide it from Murtasim, just like she hid about Haya going with murtu to gaon to Meerub....

There is something so admirable in owning the lemons life throws at one.

I would like to see Meerab do this now. Kind of similar to how she took the decision to marry Murtasim, because that's where life took her at that point. That didn't mean she wasn't strong.

She can own the situation from now on and actively steer her life forward, if only she decides to do so. Don't let circumstances make her do things anymore. Instead of letting life take its course or letting whatever happens go on, she can take ownership and actively be the decision-maker henceforth.

Similar to the way Murtasim has risen to wield the power of being the gaddi ka janasheen, despite having to give up his dreams and youth. He owns the position now, and has become the ma-baap of all the villagers as the maai said in the gaon episode. He has given a lot of qurbaanian but hasn't allowed circumstances to get the better of him. Takes immense pride in his role which was most probably given to him prematurely with his father's death, but still realizes his mistakes when he goes wrong at times and takes accountability when he has to. Meerab should have a conversation with him about his journey. That'll help her see things in perspective.

That's what happens in life - it has its ways of pushing people to corners. It's up to Meerab to now make lemonade out of the lemons she's been given. That'll help her heal as well.
