Such an over reaction, deepika could not hold his hand as she is holding her saree with that hand throughout the event. If she held his hand then her saree would become loose. From the video It looks like ranveer realises that she cannot give him her hand thats why he pulls his arm back.

Even when she stood next to her dad she doesnt put her arm around her dad as she is holding her saree.
