I thinkMore than the script itâs the couple. If u see humsafar itâs mahira and fawad that created the wave. Whether they r doing an ad or show the craze is same. Script is typical evil saas plotting against bahu. There r shows where the script is the hero and others itâs the couple. Most of the Ektaâs shows were hit cos of the couple not because of the story. Its been more than a decade since I saw this craze for a television drama more so for the couple. Initial few months(Sep-Dec) of IPKKND in 2011 was a riot and I vividly remember the craze for Barun n Sanaya to this day!
Truth to be told, there were a lot of good pak dramas in recent times- Yakeen Ka Safar,Alif,Dil na umeed,Ishq Jalebi,Jo Bichar Gayi but this craze seems to be unparalleled!
Is it the Script(I doubt :))? the actors? the intrigue element after every week not knowing what's in store for us? what's the reason ..pls tell :)
Did Wahaj and Yuma go well beyond the script and made this a success? Do you think Tere Bin would have worked with any other lead actors? I personally dont think so! But would love to hear from u guys :)

Dastaan has always been my favorite PAK drama till date and if there's anyone who could pull off Sanam Baloch's and Fawad's role it has to be these 2 - Yumna and Wahaj! I really wnat to see this duo in a historical romance fiction!! They will slay it!

It's the leads and their moments they manage to give in each episode that has clicked with the audience. the writer deserves some credit for writing those M&M moments.
Wahaj and Yumna playing off each other's skills and that physical tension that they have managed to create for M&M despite limitations is what has worked. Call it chemistry, call it sync, call it pulling out the best from the other. Replace any one of them and the impact wouldn't have been the same.
Also they got a real love-story at hand, even though the script is loose. The love-story wins.
