agree with most of this assessment except the acting of Ayesha. I have found myself very connected to her. despite the ghisa pita, circular plot, I can relate to her. She is the most consistent character and I care what happens to her. She makes me relate even when I dont agree with her and thats a win as an actor. Everyone else is pretty much blah.
I also wish that they had done more in terms of giving actual layers to characters and exploring various themes. Especially because these guys dont have the excuse of being 100% original and running out of ideas. For almost 400 episodes till Shruti kaand they followed Kusum Dola and instead of improving the original story thereafter they made it worse by adding surrogacy and killing off Sam. Iss seh accha pura 100% KD hi copy karlete. Atleast we would know what to expect and be happy with the happy ending. Rono in the OG was a jackass but not as much as V. He never married another woman. Atleast the love story was always there. The ghkkpm originality only started in past 400 episodes of which 200 were wasted on surrogacy kaand and its subplots and 200 more have been with kids and post leap nonsense. They have survived TRP wise because no competition and because kids are good actors and everyone is deeply invested in Sai's journey from college kid to bahu /wife to now mother and doctor.
Ghkkpm is full of like 50 characters but they only keep focusing on some of them. Everyone else is a mere prop who add little value.
And their tropes are all same old. Nothing creative.
their current track is an amalgamation of all the other ITV shows in a bad khichdi. Leap bhi hogaya, bacche bhi hai, 2 wives bhi hogaye, and now they have a quadrangle happening with new entry . i dont think even these guys know what they want.
I think HAs interview was very telling because he basically straight up said that his brief indicates he will be linked to Sai. but how much/how far and how much his past will be revealed or not depends on TRP and other factors. even he isnt sure of how much they will give of his story with Sai- will it be friendship or will it be love/marriage, etc...He is a seasoned actor but they have got cameos from other good actors before too. He may also leave after cameo if he is not enjoying the arc/plot. or he may be a recurring entry like DIG, JM, Sunny etc.
They brought even DIG wife and daughter before for 1 episode and they had a senior of Virat in office- Harish who was scrapped quickly. Sada role was cut short in this version compared to OG where Sada/Shruti had 2 tracks.
So anything can happen. Lots of offscreen factors influencing these decisions. There is one unprofessional couple who wanna milk maximum screen space as a couple ....so maybe just to accommodate them Satya will stay longer if the actor is convinced to play along.
