Did they say how many people they are taking for finale?

They are saying 6 but I am not sure as they have already shot the music video with the Top 7.

I really enjoyed the Udit and Kavita ji episode. They were instrumental parts of my childhood and their appearance on any show is uplifting and entertaining, so I had high expectations.

First half:

Senjuti finally had a performance that didn't make me feel bored. She finally got to be in her comfort zone and had her best performane in a long time. I still don't think she's as good as at least five of the remaining contestants.

Sonakshi has had better weeks, but she was still pretty good. Her range was up and down with her first song, but she was more consistant in her second song. She still did better than Senjuti.

Debo and Shivam's duet was fun. Shivam was kind of subdued but it felt like it was by design. Debo killed it and showed again how versatile she is. My favorite duet in weeks.

Bidipta had a very nice and needed bonceback performance. Like Senjuti, she found her comfort zone. Her biggest issue is consistency but she did very nice in this episode.

Rishi's lost his charm. I'll give him a break for Ae Ajnabi because of how hard that song is, but his second performance didn't click. The fact that HR chose this song as the one to revert back to a clown for is on brand.

Second half:

Deboshmita can do no wrong and is your favorite singer's favorite singer. Deal with it.

I liked Chirag's performance. Even if the others are more talented, he connects with the audience and gives it his full effort every time. It wasn't his best day but he had a decent showing.

The stuff between Aditya and Udit Ji was touching. I don't like most of the nonsinging parts of Indian Idol but this was great,

Shivam's solo was really good. His best performances are of older songs, but this was his best performance of a 2000s song.

Perfrormer of the day was Udit Narayan.

I had time so I watched Rani's episode right after Udit and Kavita ji's episode. I smiled the whole time, especially when Udit ji started singing KKHH. Most consistent episode in weeks.

First half:

Chirag had a good performance and showed his range. I will be shocked if he isn't the next elimination, but he's making full use of his time on the show. I'll miss him when it's over.

There's nothing I can say about Debo that Rani and HR didn't already say. She should be the winner in my opinion.

Senjuti's had two straight shows where she didn't make me feel bored or sleepy. I think she's starting to win me over. She's still not in my top 5 but at least I don't feel like forwarding her performances anymore.

Shivam was simply phenomenal with his second song. His rendition of Sathiya was fine but when you aing Layi Vi Na Gayi, you need to du full justice to it. His performance of the song was mindblowing.

Second half:

Bidipta did a nice job. She had a very tough act to follow but held her own. She is reverting back to good form lately.

Rishi had a pulse for the first time in weeks. He was coasting a lot lately but at least he showed signs of life this time.

Sonakshi's performance of Chupke Se was sublime. It was like she was performing in front of Sadhana Sargam and Rani at the same time.

Chirag and Senjuti worked surprisingly well together. Good duet for both. Rishi and Bidipta's duet was also good and their best work together in a while, even with Rishi's error in the end. The song choice probably helped.

Rani's presence was most welcome. She was a great guest, graceful, fun and funny without overdoing anything.

The only thing I wanted more was comments from Udit ji in the first half. But he was so great in the last 20 minutes that I still got my fill. That mini concert was the showstopping segment of the day. He still sounds like he's in his prime. The man is an ageless wonder.

Performers of the day after Udit ji: Shivam, then Sonakshi, followed by Bidipta and Debo tied for 4th.
