Ok I am finally getting back to this as promised. I will tackle paragraph to paragraph.
Ok the first line you have already lost me. The word toxic is so over used, now everyone has their own definitions of it that it has lost its potency. Meerab and Murtasim are not toxic period (ignore the slap). Was Murtasim flip to romance too soon after marriage I don't think so. I could explain this more in detail but then this post will become essay squared. But is their marriage lacking trust and respect, yes definitely, but that is the plot of this drama if everything was perfect by episode 10 then what are we watching. I will ignore the offensive Haya comment.
Meerab as his wife has the right to counsel her husband, does that make her overconfident and thoughtless NO. She only can give him advice based on what little life experience she has, it is up to Murtasim to accept it or not. She will learn as she lives and to live you need to be a participant not a spectator, and along the way she will make mistakes, that is not just her that is all of us too. She never said if you don't do listen to me, i will sentence you to a lifetime of celibacy. Did Murtasim follow her advice because he is obsessed with his wife, NO, he did it in good faith to end the blood feud. He was not wrong in theory, but it backfired and three people are read. Is he to blame yes because a leader takes accountability whether he is responsible or not.
Can the story be written better, yes definitely ofcourse I agree with only this point in this whole review. What does a strong woman look like pray tell us. The last paragraph just contradicts the earlier stance, being opinionated means strong FL then you just criticized Meerab for having opinions. You want slow burn but you also want them to be perfect from word go. Dude make up your mind.
Are we also criticizing them as they make mistakes, yes we are but not because they are not perfect. Our criticisms are not that they have flaws, but the flaws are presented in a logical fashion and it adds to the overall narrative without destroying their core personalities.
(I copied this from my post in the other thread btw.)
Yes, after having some time away from epi 24 (cuz no way in heck am I rewatching that episode on my nightly treadmill session), I’m coming to terms with the fact that we need an “effective” way to bring Meerab closer to her husband. And, ugh, unfortunately they have chosen this way, but maybe it was the only effective way given the way they had set the characters up from the beginning. (Also, maybe it won’t be as bad as we think…like others have said, Murtasim always comes through in the end. )
Meerab really is a lost soul right now. She is just “reactioning” her way through the days and is basically going through the motions. In this reactionary state, I guess they need to really give her a big reaction causing event to get at least one firm feeling out of her: love. Remember that love is not just love, it’s often also a sense of belonging. (Right now her feelings are all over the place, and understandably so, given all the mistrust and loss she’s experienced.) And maybe seeing Murtasim with Haya, in that suggestive position, amidst the more private gao environment, really is what it takes to get her to react and confess her feelings. To herself first, and then to to Murtasim. I mean, think about it. The way they have written the story, even him almost dying for her didn’t have that effect on her. LOL….it will take Haya the snake to do it.
And also from one standpoint, maybe it had to be this way, again because of how they initially set this all up. Meerab, from the get go, has been giving Haya LOTS of hope herself. She herself has been telling Haya that she and Murtasim will be separated, she will be happy and thank Haya if she separates them, and that Haya should be ready. From that type of a setup, then Haya is just doing what Meerab is letting her do. It always bugged me when Meerab used to say stuff like that to Haya, and I guess NOW she will be forced to reckon with this by taking a firm stand. And that will require her to come to terms with her own feelings.
Meerab will have to begin her recovery in life by regaining some stable, durable feeling as a start. In this case, it will be love for her husband. Love = belonging, an anchor in her life. Law will come, I’m pretty certain about it. But it’s also unrealistic to think that someone so suddenly and emotionally messed up is thinking about career right this minute. Once she regains some stability in her life, she will be more able to get back to her old self and her old dreams. Murtasim, I feel, will ultimately do anything for her.
Just some thoughts.
The only think i agree with bengali baji 😂

I think the Murtasim bashing is from the teaser for next week’s episode. They don’t show any scenes of Meerab reflecting on her conversation with Rohail and if she took the ring, that scene isn’t shown either. They show Murtasim’s close proximity to Haya and Meerab walking in on them. For the first time, she isn’t just mad but she’s seems heartbroken and is crying. She’s talking about her Haq and how Murtasim is showing so much love towards Haya and not her. It’s the first time she expressed any feelings towards him that goes beyond just smiles and gentle flirting. She isn’t taunting him like before but is breaking down in front of him. Looking at the teaser alone, you tend to forget that she was just out with Rohail earlier acting like she had no feelings for Murtasim and sharing intimate details about their relationship. The makers totally knew what they were doing when they released this teaser. They saw the bashing and released a second teaser that makes Murtasim look even worse 😂They’re getting a reaction out of all of us and I’m pretty sure that’s what they want. I’m pretty sure Murtasim redeems himself after (hopefully, fingers crossed). I know her struggles when he sees her cry.
I think Murtasim didn’t take Meerab’s concerns seriously because he isn’t interested in Haya and he’s confident that she can never lure him. He is softer with Haya but he’s softer with everyone post marriage…Meerab has changed him or made him go back to how he used to be before he had all these responsibilities. I also think when Meerab taunted him about Haya, he enjoyed seeing her jealous. He doesn’t get much from her in terms of feelings so I guess he was enjoying it. This time it’s different, she’s hurt and she’s crying. It’s Murtasim’s weakness to see her that way so I hope he does take her concerns more seriously.

Next week is all in hands of Wahaj!
The impact of don’t touch me is more of Yumna acting than meerabs pain! From promo it’s clear she has hit it out of park , bas Abhi all my ummed is in Wahaj! how well he will react in that scene will make or break Murtasim.
You say it!
Murtasim's reaction to her tears and don't touch me will actually be a turning point, he can either salvage or damage it further.
Pinning all my hopes on just one thing, he should not allow her to leave the village alone at night. And talk to her please.
Wahaj reacts well to Yumna (in his words), so if she's done it well, we can assume he will too.
You guys are right how he reacts in this scene will decide how we judge his earlier sin, i mean crime, i mean mistake, i mean a case of loss of judgement owing to his humanitarian instincts. He didn't want a blind 4ft pixie witch roaming his palace forever, he won't be able to marry her off then.
I hope Wahaj gets good lines, I have no doubt in his acting ability but if the script lets him down then then there is nothing he can do.
Wow, I agree with all of this!Originally posted by: WanderingWonder

man you are correct. Much as we r complaining, do you really think if a new character comes in and try to make Meerab jealousy would have this type of affect as with haya??
No! I have read few very good story with this type of set out. Trust me you hate the other love interest from bottom of your heart as a viewer.
It is effect because:
1. Haya is murtasam cousine.
2. murtasam has a soft Connor for her.
3. Murtasam has shared his childhood with haya more than meerab.
4. haya is an orphan, therefore her characteristic has element of sympathy which we as a view hate. Because we want meerab only.
5. Haya is in love and vocal about it and meerab can do shit all because murtasam has a soft Conor for his cousine.
6. Views hates the idea that haya is his responsibility therefore he can’t run way from it and at the same time meerab is love of his life.
7. if you sacrifice who will you sacrifice??
So we as a view we know this and that’s why our hatred for haya is this strong. If it was some random girl trust me it wouldn’t have been this popular.
Hopefully, I explained this well lol
Murtasam won't let her leave.
Murtasam had some strong dialogue everytime when meerab confronts him.
I have strong faith he will save it this time as well.
Inshallah lol
