If it goes to the Oscars, will be rejected in the 1st round 😆
BTW, I find Naatu Naatu song overrated 😆 just my opinion, haven’t watched the movie either

Instead I watched Elephant Whisperers on Netflix which won the oscar for Best Documentary short film, shot in my State in India in my language. I must my State is a haven for Elephants, Government really takes good care of them. Even if they are part of Temples which is part if Dravidian Culture as Elephants are considered sacred, any Government that has ruled the state has always conducted retreat camp for all kinds of elephants. This one project which doesn’t get vetoed by any party which comes to power. If you have time watch it, its only 40 minutes.

I think the song is fine it's the visual aspect the dance etc that caught ppls eyes but if that is the reason it won then it's unfair to the other songs. But I'm not a native speaker of that language so I cannot say if the song is worth the hype.

I heard about the documentary good topic but I read the ppl it's featuring haven't even watched the documentary on top they were not even mentioned in the acceptance speeches. This other documentary about the Russian dissident had his wife on stage with the whole team talking about him.

I was planning to watch it after it won the oscars. Now that you've mentioned, I will definitely watch it.

Bomman and Bellie are real mahouts. They are illiterate and tribal people living in Mudhumalai Forest whose job is to nourish wounded baby elephants and bring them back to life. From their conversation it was very evident that they are very happy with what they are doing, no complaints whatsoever. I don’t think they expected anything out of this except to tell the story of Raghu, who almost died and how these 2 nourished him back to health.

The reason why she must have accepted - have been promised that every upcoming track will have her heroics and histrionics to compensate for not including her in find the kids mission😆
