Anuj had seen her affiliation to Shahs through the wedding. May be he thought of 2 things:

1. Anupama needs a reason to stay at Kapadia's, she has never been able to move on and probably does NOT intend on moving on. A child would be that reason to move on. Which failed miserably.

2. He never had anything to call his own (thanks to his myopic vision). Even with Anupama, he knew she had a baggage. It was his dream of a complete family with Anupama, the child being someone he called his own.

Anuj's fault is still that:

a. He did not protect Choti Anu calling out the treatment at the hands of Shahs.

b. Not standing up for himself against insults.

c. Not respecting his own family enough.

Anupama could have well had a mature conversation with Anuj and taken time to process what was happening. After a traumatic life, she should have compartmentalised her life. Most importantly, she should have taken therapy for her own well being.

Was Anuj also neglecting CA? I ask because I do not recall reading it in updates here. I believe he was there for her, unlike Anupama. If CA didn't have same connection/attachment with him, I don't think he can blamed for it.

He must be blamed for not holding Anupama accountable for her negligence. He is to blame for not nipping the problem in the bud. He must be blamed for not validating Maaya's claims, entrusting the responsiblity to Anupama. He is to blame for not using his brains, period.

That's what I am saying, even if she does not want to become CA's mother at least basic care must be taken, the child should not feel as he/she is left alone (I said this in one of my posts).

no, Anuj never neglected her and I never said that he neglected CA, but what was the reason that CA got connected to Maya so easily, I know so many kids who are of CA's age, they never get attached to someone so easily ki unke saath rehne hi chale jaen, how CA decided to leave Anuj and chose Maya, I don't think any kid would do that if they are connected to their parents. This is because they could not bond with their kid, ek ko shah femly (family) me jana hota hai, dusre ko "meri anu meri anu" karna hota hai, bacche keliye time kaise rahega.

before marrying to Anupama he was living in some lalaland and now the reality of life is coming in front of him, I never liked Anupama's way of living her life, but in CA's case can she be blamed alone? yes, she can be blamed for that stupid 15 days challenge and Anuj should leave her for doing that, but "maa kaa dukh" and "pita kaa dukh" which they are trying to compare is baseless here.
