When he tells MB - chahhat line did u see he was looking at wall , there is a sketch hanging on wall , at first I assumed it must be girl but then I was why would he hang the sketch there in common room then when u look around there are many more sketches hanging so my guess Murtasim was painter but for sure there is no girl involved.

I am still not convinced that meerab ever had any revenge idea in her head, she is naive ,happy go lucky types whose whole existence was shaken and then this wedding was thrown on her face . she was too shaken with all happenings and probably didn’t hve so much space in her brain to sit and plot revenge. But if creative team has come up with such twist , It will be something I didn’t see coming and will say she will make an awesome lawyer !

Wow I did not pick on that. If it comes true I WILL BE IMPRESSED on these details of direction and depth in story.

You might just get that one or two roles that defines your whole career in the Indian Film Industry and you better nail them if you want to be called a great actress, I think Priyanka has done that but not DP, even in the same movie Priyanka knocked her out of the boxing ring with a single punch. Beside we don't sell acting we sell stardom, not quality but box office numbers. How many of us are talking about DP acting or contribution in Pathan it is just about box office numbers and SRK is back. But look at Tom Cruise Maverick, yes box office is great, but the real story is Tom Cruise fearlessness commitment dedication to his craft.

You're right. I also feel some actors are also lucky to have certain scripts come their way, which unexpectedly gives them a lot more than than would have thought. Having luck in your favour is equally imo, especially if you're talented. Good talents never find their true potential until they are lucky enough to find a good story and an equally good director.

Also, I believe not every good actor is good in every project they do, especially if there is nothing backing it in terms of story and/or execution. In some they excel, in some they falter. Talent speaks and stays, yes. but there are misses too.

Priyanka has proven it because she was determined to prove herself back in the day, she chose scripts and roles that made her shine and established her as a terrific actress. Then, she made some poor choices and woof! She's vanished.

Deepika tried to do that withchapaak but I guess, the audience cannot now separate the deepika - the star from her. Oh but you can't take away the fine as hell aura she brought as Rubai in Pathaan.

In this show we are watching, in Wahaj's words, it was Yumna who convinced him for this and he didn't even read the script till the end, while she did. He got lucky here. Because he will be associated with Murtasim for a long time. Though he has other performances which make his resume even stronger, it's this one that has managed to get him raging popularity.

No revenge is going on here,After watching tons of ivs,I am sure that murtasim is not taking revenge he is basically embodiment of sati savitri FL of itv.

And pls people already don't like meerab's character much,I am talking about general public(all people around me who are not on any forum or do very deep discussion,they dislike meerab) so making revenge her plan will be like big NO...it will drive hate for her character more than anything else....

Even the dil mera dard gives more meaning to Murtasim's feelings than the ost.

I'll always say, it's such a love-hate relationship with that goddamn ost. You want to dump the kya hoti hai bewafai but you want to keep the ra ra rey and the beat drops.

I am Hindi and my bhabhi is Tamil…so half the time me and my bhabhi are repeating these dialogues in front of our relatives…..esp those who will ask me separately while she is sitting there..isko Hindi vindi aati bhi hai…or if they say bhabhi Abb tou Hindi mei baat kar leti hai na…. Both of us breakout into this dialogue….

Our issue is actually that we confuse star system with acting. That kind of hero worship is very integral to our culture. We want escapism, not realism …that most times is not related to the acting craft at all, it needs other skills to be built on.

We have actors par excellence- manoj, Raj kumar, Tabu, late irrfan, Ali faizal, who are constantly working on their craft and often have build a distinct style.

indian cinema ( I say indian - because I speak of makers all over india - Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu) is constantly trying to find middle ground between star and actor - and that will remain its quest. And good for us, because a quest is always the origins of creativity.

What I meant by craft is the kind of cinema Tom Cruise specializes in, yes it doesn't require oscar level acting, but it requires different set of skills that only he can do. He will get a lifetime oscar at the end of his career for sure.

Tom Cruise actually is a wonderful actor, just have to see his earlier movies.

On that note. Yaaaaay for Natu Natu for their oscar win, also the best speech of the night by the music directors it was short, charming, heartfelt and unique no one have ever sung a thank you speech before. We should all be very very proud, not because we beat Rihanna and Gaga, but because India created something that inspired so much joy amusement entertainment for so many people around the world.

Not to mention best live Oscar on stage performance, can't remember when a song received standing ovation not just for the live performance but the music directors received a standing ovation too for their win. DP did a good job introducing the dance, she looked great.

Yes we are not quitting on Indian Cinema there is lots of scope. We keep marching forward.
