I don’t think so. I think Meerab is capable of being selfless- but at this point she is too vulnerable to love anyone. She can’t trust anyone enough to give them that benefit of doubt- her parents, Anwar or MB. Only Murtasim has broken down some of her walls but she is scared to show that she cares about him because that trust might not be there yet. I know some viewers who still believe that Murtu is doing all this to get her to consummate and then will do bewafai. So to think that Meerab still needs to fully trust Murtu isn’t that far fetched.

coming to Meerab I think she isn’t very comfortable at expressing love. In fact it scares her. Two of the most underrated scene imo is

1) Mera naam mat lena- it pissed off most people but if you hear her tone it’s breathless, nervous and scared. She can’t bear a confession of love because it would overwhelm her. It would bring an entire package of expectations from the only person she is trusting at this moment. She wants to take this slow. She is still vulnerable from having lost her identity and her dreams.

2) Mujhe ek bar Murtasim milna hai - that was beautifully emoted by Yumna. You can see that MB refusal to let her see her husband is killing her but she can’t admit that so her voice slightly break, her lips tremble but she stands there like a dheet. Even MB goes like why are being so meek? Cuz she really really wants to see but can’t admit it.

Already shared my thoughts on why Meerub agreed for this marriage.

But the highlight of the episode for me is MB and Murtasim’s conversation. Murtasim’s question to his mother that who I am to you and she answered that you are the heir.

This really shows that no one cared about him before Meerub, I was right that he suddenly didn’t fall in love with Meerub, the way she cared for him even if it was nothing from her side after his allergic reaction, it was everything for him. His own mother never treated him as a human being, for her he was the heir.

What was his past? Will they ever show it?? He said meri chahat thi, meri zindagi thi woh, we all have different theories on it, but one thing I can say after seeing his character is that he is not the guy who falls in love everyday so he definitely had a different life which he had to sacrifice, and from here comes my next question that was it not possible for Anwar to be the guardian of the whole property till Murtasim was ready? Why he was not given time to digest things?? What could have happened that changed them?? Everyone in the family knows this except Meerub, could this be the point in future to create distrust or misunderstanding between them??

There was another question which is answered in this episode, Many of you were asking that why Meerub thinks that Murtasim is responsible for her condition, it is because she overheard MB and Mariah’s conversation where M told MB that if Murtasim gets to know that Meerub is Anwar’s daughter he would be angry and MB said that he knows, whole family knows and Meerub was shocked to hear this so probably this was the point that she thought of taking revenge and before this she was genuinely marrying him. I mean by this it is clear that Meerub thinks Murtasim did this to make her agree for the marriage as his ego is hurt and she thinks it is all his plan from the start.

For everyone in the family, he was Gaddi ka Janasheen and he was respected like that. But only with meerub, he was Murtasim n not any Lord.. She always fought with him even before marriage talks came up. This must have surely amused him as no one has ever spoken to him like that including his mother.

I think Anwar must have not taken care of these things after his wife passed away. So when his brother passed away, I think murtu had to take are of everything as he was going to be the future King. While anwar would have stood by his nephew as a General.

For me, I thot chahat was his 1st love. But now I think it was his dream life.

Meerub's monologue about mein ab sabko rulaunga, I thought this was the point that she became to plan something. MB and marium's conversation just added more fuel to the fire.

Before that I should clear the fact that I know from where meerab is coming,her vulnerabilities,her scars,her ptsd,her abandonment issue,everything and I have clearly no issue with the way she behaves(including her chit chat in future episodes regarding talking to ruhail about her comdition for marriage)

I do get fed up with the way she behaves sometimes becoz I want her to love him back but it was always momentarily....

Now my question is will meerab at anytime was able to love someone more than herself..

I mean I personally feel there are different kind of people one who can give everything in love and Murtasim's character is like that.

Other who can love but not limitless,they don't lose themselves in their love.

I've no issues with any of these.

But I think meerabis 2nd type of personality.

Meerab does come across as a 'wrapped in herself' person.

She can come across as a narcissist at times, but so does Murtasim. Both of them are quite proud, shut-off people. It also has a lot to do their genes. They come from such a family that is Murshid to many people who are lower to them in terms of social status.

But the point is we are able to see Murtasim's ability to love at this point of the story. Meerab has not yet fallen in love. It will be her 'first' love as well, I am assuming. So we cannot predict her love to be less intense than Murtasim's.

More so, love or any emotion for that matter is intangible. It cannot be measured in limits. Yes, some love without expectations, some do with conditions. Everyone loves with their emotional capacity. But beyond that, it's hard to judge.

@B-yeah..thats the thing...

But I guess most of buid up has done so I am doubtful they will show intense love from meerab's side...I mean I don't want to expect that from her character as if expectation will not come out true,it will make me dislike her...

In case of murtasim he always gave that passionate vibe becoz thats his character sketch so I alsways thought him being intense and they didn't disappoint..

But in case of meerab I am not judging her character but somewhere I am scaredto expect any kind ofemotional feeling in upcoming track from her side..

Maybe while writing her character at many scenes where she was expected to act certain way which she didn't obviously due to all that baggage make me wary..😆
