Actions like these set Murtasim character apart from the standard stereotypical alpha male. Also the teasers of the wedding made it look like he was forcing her, it was misleading it was setting up a huge fight which didn't happen thank god. I remember watching that scene for the first time I was so scared for her, noooooo he is going to kill her, and when he did the opposite WOW impressive. This is how an hero earns audience respect.

They really dramatised a lot of things in the teasers.

Perhaps we weren't that active here to discuss it, atleast I wasn't. So let me say this today, even I really liked how Murtasim approached Meerab after her rejection at the altar. Sure his izzat was crying in a corner with the humiliation he faced as a groom, but he still remained adamant that if she wants to see me, only I will go to see her.

The ghoonghat talk was funny as if they couldn't have talked without lifting the veil 😆

But I was surprised Meerab girl atleast acknowledged that she got ready to be Murtasim's bride. that shot of them in the mirror really established his patience when it comes to her. She literally said, I get ready for myself. Girl, hear yourself out, you dressed as a bride 🤣

The contract was handled quite maturely by Murtasim. He could have created a scene and called in for everyone. Instead he chose to give this marriage a chance, even if it came with a deal.

Besides before that in the bedroom she said Murtasim won and they call her dumb. Meerab knows her politics, you won dear and you will become the strongest if you forgive, Murtasim fell hook line and sinker. Yes I am strong and I did win, no wonder he was flying high that episode.

In an ideal case scenario, the two of them did right by trying to call truce or better, forgive and extend a hand to call off the enmity. Yes things could have happened and handled differently had the bullet touched Murtasim and not Bakhtu. There wasn't a chance for forgiveness there.

but in case, Malik Sr. was genuine as well.

Meerab wouldn't know that the son is an absolute filth and won't budge even after spending days in jail.

Actually in marriage teaser first murtu was smiling 🤣

Only after getting rejected by meeru, he became angry.

Nah I think she would be a horrid lawyer. I don't think any female would want her to represent them and this is why:

That guy tried to kidnap her and he always assaults and harasses people and threatens women of the village with abuse. He doesn't deserve to be shot but have his special part cut off!

I have really disliked Meerab after her demands. She always acts high and mighty and she's quite dumb. She doesn't get the hardship of other women who come from difficult background as she grew up privileged. She lives a very black and white sheltered life and doesn't get that the world is grey. But it's not her fault as her character is written poorly and not given enough depth 😂

She's always like danda leke Marne ke liye ajana or maaf kardena. If she's willing to forgive a monster like Malik why the heck will the audience even think of her as a role model. Even Behaya is more logical in this regards 😂. She knows what's out there in the world. Meerab thinks life is about taking a danda to beat a man on street or running in the khete/field chasing goats. It's like 25 going on 5 yrs old lol.

Truth is I find both the writer and director to be very less understanding of true feminism or rather I found their views to be misogynist (from their interviews, Also, they're not on the same page 😂). Meerabs character wasn't well developed and now they're making murtasim into a beta hero. I wish he took a decision of his own regarding the situation instead of trying to make meerab happy as her demands are ridiculous lol. I only agreed with the nyla stance of hers.

Also, I guess there isn't much points for trying to analyze the characters as the writer isn't Umera or farhat 😂...just use no brain and enjoy the show but kiya kare we still try to make it make sense!

I don't think writer wanted to show Meerab as a feminist. She has taken inspiration from her own cousin who was bold and fiesty.

I saw the whole Ghooghat and Mirror scene as symbolic talk, they were both talking in double meaning.

When getting ready she is thinking how her life was about herself, she lived for herself, she got ready for herself, but now that agency is stolen from her and she is depressed and angry.

Murtasim conversation with Meerab forget the world, this is about us, who did you get ready for. Meerab sombre thoughtful tone she says for me, you felt so bad for her.

When Murtasim says fine first right is yours, he says it softy with affection (wahaj acting when he says that line BRILLIANT)

A thoughtful dialogue, women lose control over their life when they get married and are expected to hand themselves over to their husbands, but Murtasim is showing how her rights over herself comes before his rights over her.

As he lifts her ghoonghat and guides her to the mirror, looking in the mirror when he asks her why don't you see yourself, she says she can't see past him, which reflects that from now on she recognizes him first before herself or anyone.

Murtasim has said in this marriage you come first before me, and Meerab has said I only see you. They have both placed each other above themselves, and it was their wedding vow.

When he signs the contract and they both say Qubool Hai, their wedding is done, outside is just a formality.

Meerab single tear when Murtasim says you will regret this, she looks at him sadly at first her eyes are screaming you don't understand my pain, then looks away determined I will make him eat his words, doubtful as she looks down will I regret this, she looks up at him in his eyes she is determined again. Yumna expressions Chefs Kiss.

My understanding

She didn't forgive the people who kidnapped her. She clearly told murtasim punish the people who kidnapped me if u want. But murtasim talked about izzat ke badle izzat thing and brought a girl which is absurd. That's why she said I want to finish this matter, I forgive them so u too forget about it.

After that he went to his enemies place with gun which would have endangered his life or made him criminal which she don't want.

@bold if she doesn't know hardship of other women who come from difficult background then she wouldn't have fought for a woman in first episode, she wouldn't have opposed her own husband infront of many people to save the girl who she thinks gonna get married forcefully.

The main reason she wanted murtasim to forgive them is to stop generation enemity. She got kidnapped because of that enemity. Many people like her would be collateral damage between two groups enemity.

Is there any guarantee that the person's father would have stayed silent had murtasim didn't accept his forgiveness? He would have got more angry for his son and would have done even more damage.

Not saying they don't deserve punishment. They do. But by that logic even murtasim deserves punishment for bringing a girl from that group. That is also called kidnapping.

Neither murtasim nor meerab is role model in this show. They aren't perfect characters. They are characters with flaws.

Meerab doesn't know about those enemy politics. So she did what is best to stop fights. But murtasim very well know everything. Still he decided to forgive. That blame can't be thrown at meerab. She just gave a suggestion, didn't force him.

If meerab is stupid then murtasim is double stupid in this aspect.
