So watched it today!

*May contain 1 or 2 minor spoilers*

Overall it's a fun one time watch and so far I have enjoyed all Luv Ranjan movies, Sonu titu being my most favourite but unlike that this one drags like hell in places and monologues are so stretched and unnecessarily incorporated that it becomes tedious at times still good performances and great chemistry between all the actors more than makes up for the flaws.

What I liked

Plot was great, RK's character was quite likable, I found Shraddha fab both in terms of looks & performance, Dimple Kapadia was mad good😆, Bassi was fun, BG music was superb, I liked the chaotic ending bit and ofcourse Kartik Aaryan's cameo was great it received a lot of cheers in my theatre man I hope him and Shraddha are indeed in Aashiqui 3 coz no actress pulls off romance genre like her.

What I didn't like

Pacing, dragged out monologues, length of the movie, slo mo stuff, thumka song was so lame and pointless, airbrushing and age filter cinematography on actors was so jarring plus the last scene and epilogue were super cringey.

Still you will enjoy with friends if you keep your expectations in check.

*** stars😆

Definitely, BOI doesn't give the right numbers... from the last article:

"The collections on Saturday were 13.75 crore nett and this takes the total of the film to over 45 crore nett in four days with Sunday to come."

There is a very big difference between 53 cr and 45 cr (and the former is the result of two independent sources, sacnilk and Taran).

My trust for T-Series Film also keeps within certain limits. If they indeed inflated the costs, then it could be because of taxes as well as to launder money...

Is Alia still in Kashmir (for the song)?

Speaking of Alia, she must be stressed. Pre-Covid, a film like TJMM could have cleared 100 Cr over 5 days, now it's struggling to hit 70. Rocky-Rani is going to have a very tough time.
