just finished the one on netflix Crash course on romance. My mini review it was very good, finally a middle aged couple romance, they were sooooooo cute. A FL styled realistically, ML was such a nice guy, yes boring but hahaaaa nice guys get boring on TV. The drama addressed so many important issues so beautifully and ending was PERFECT.

After breathing the toxicity of Hindi Dramas, the is like going our for fresh air.

Yes I can't imagine her throwing her out cruelly, like I will never see you again, get lost bullshit that they do in Hindi Dramas. He will be angry she is angry too and they both might need a cooling off period, but he will never let go permanently. We saw how he took their mini separation in the accident track, even though he was letting her go then, he knew where she was going and he would come up with a plan to get her back. But if he can't find her at all he will be destroyed, and his queen living a life of poverty that is like her punishing him.

The only scene we get for how he would react if a third person came in between them was the birthday incident. Murtasim turned into a mad bull dog when Rohail grabbed her hands to stop her. It was similar to when Anwar grabbed his arm to stop him from dragging her away, he will not stand for it. You don't know what you have until you lose it. He never lost her because her marriage was never fixed with anyone else, but it was fixed with him and even though he kept saying I won't marry her his actions kept saying she is mine. His feelings are more apparent after his engagement was announced. He doesn't storm to his mom to say no i won't marry her, he goes to gather his thoughts privately and what is ringing in his ears is that she doesn't respect him. His reason to refuse the marriage is because he is remembering what she thinks of him, not what he thinks of her. So he is prioritizing her wishes above his and refuses the marriage. Isn't that a sign of someone in love when their priority is what does she think about me, not what I think about her.

We have to wait for this rohail track to see if they will explore the past with Murtasim. Will it be she was always mine or will it be she is mine now. I don't think he will put her character down just because she has a male friend. The cornerstone of Murtasim love for Meerab is that she is MY MEERAB, he is very proud of her, even his taunts you are badtameez is his way of saying you are my badtameez and I love you for it. The only time he insults her before marriage is when he says she is not worth it to marry, calling into question her character but we know he didn't mean it. In anger they have called each other names, but I repeat myself, deep down they always held each other in high esteem and have high expectations from each other. Meerab expecting Murtasim to neutralize Haya ASAP because he should know better, Murtasim motivating her in their marriage to put aside her pettiness and rise to the challenge as he knows she is capable of doing great things in her new position. I don't know want to see that respect torn to shreds. In any great love story respect is important. Who is going to take on the bigger blame let wait and see how the plot unfolds, yes it won't be subtle. She will bark, he will get angry, and we will watch.

The term 'trashy romance' almost sounds derogatory as I pull myself deeper into this abyss of analysing their story. Honestly, I would be reasonably pissed if Aamna uses that term again in her reviews, which I suppose will drop today.

That birthday incident is the only scene where we know his reaction to a third party between them. And God! That was some exaggerated response towards someone you claim to dislike. That scene when he has grabbed her hands and Rohail grabs her hand to stop him, he looks down and loses his temper completely. Such extreme reaction can only come out of a deeply buried attraction/liking or possessiveness towards someone. And though we would never know his reaction if she ever got engaged/married to someone else, I highly doubt he would have allowed that to happen.

And yes, in his thoughts, it was always about what she thinks/feels for him. His actions are driven and propelled from her words and response towards him. She puts him down, he tries to do that too, she rejects him, he wants to reject her too, she agrees to the marriage, he does it too, in a matter of minutes. She dictates his feelings and actions, through and through. Once she falls in love, irrevocably, he will fall for her even harder. That's how his mind functions, when it comes to her.

If the cake scene was a trailer, of what extreme reactions Murtasim has towards a male entity near her, Rohail popping up again, after their marriage, when he is so in love with Meerab, promises to be a whole damn film. And we will definitely watch.
