I think veer knew that the power of locket come back when a yogini wear it that's why he gave to cherry

Well Veer did say he had some masterplan...So maybe he had some reason behind giving the locket to cherry which may not yet be ruined with the destruction of the locket like Armaan believes...

simple answer? Because that’s what they did in vampire diaries so they decided to do it here too lol. Giving the locket to cherry because Caroline (aka cherry) found it from damon (aka veer). Bonding with Armaan and revealing about chandrika (same like stefan Damon did) don’t think they applied much logic
