Then he was not able to understand why his mom and uncle were so obsessed and controlling life of an outsider , and why meerab parents needs to take their permission regd her life decisions and most importantly why he has to go to Karachi every time there is crisis related to meerab. Back then she was his dad friends daughter and not his head ache

In his defence this was one of guesses he suggested marr so she could marry someone who would support her dreams and those whole madcap adults won’t be able to put their foot down ! But with/without this suggestion it was clear without khan’s (MB and Anwars)approval she would be never allowed to study law.
