They released some rules where hugging was banned but channels still show it. So, I guess Pak channels are not 100% following the rules and PEMRA is fine with it.

PEMRA is like their content regulating body, just like we have censor board. I think last they sent notice to Ishq-e-laa, for showing hugs and caresses on television.

Also, DNUTN also recieved a notice from them, because of the dark themes it highlighted. That is the reason the drama is still not available in India and none of their major channels like Hum, Ary and Geo picked up the show.

Thanks so much for this. I was trying to figure out which show recently got a notice …which was apparently unnecessary - Ishq e la it is then..bunch of idiots.l.I am rewatching that show with new eyes…just loving it. Is one of the fuschia woman on the board of PEMRA?

Fuchsia woman definitely supports them in one way or the other. This show right now is endangered as well 😆

I have a feeling one of them is on the board, if that’s the case… they should not be reviewing shows, it a conflict of interest!
