Before Balaji turned to K there was a show called Itihaas. Probably the best Balaji Show ever. (According to me) It's a revenge drama. Used to come on Doordarshan Monday to Friday 1:00 p.m.

As my school (4th Standard) break was between 1-2 p.m. I had no issues watching it. Used to run from school 5 mins early to catch it. 😆

Later on I loved Kasauti Zindegi Kay. Cezane Khan is most underrated (Also a bit weakely written character) lead in Television Industry. Shweta Tiwari as Prerna run away with all accolades. Also Ronit Roy got too much of its credit.

Notable mention: Kasauti Zindegi Kay title song is the best ever. 😛

Also the fact that, Anurag and Prerna were both in their mid 20s, very dumb and immature, egoistic, yet they loved each other, and hurt each other only and only because of the misunderstandings people created (Bajaj and Komolika), as much as Anurag Hirt prerna by not trusting her, he tried his every best to redeem the damage, unless komolika stole prem which wasn’t his fault but Prerna blamed him so much that he left the country in guilt again.

Being young and hurting each other in love is better than being someone’s father’s age, and wickedly maligning one’s character to ruin her husband’s dignity and make her the victim only to pretend and be the one who stood by the victim.

Anyways, at the end Anurag and Prerna died together whereas Bajaj rightfully was crazy and alive, he was responsible for the ugly divorce of AnuPre, Anurag always trusted him even after knowing how he blackmailed Prerna to marry him, Anurag loved his kids, the blind one and his elder daughter also was madly in love with Anurag, despite everything people behave as if Anurag had superpowers and he should’ve not believed everything which anyone at his place would believe.

Also let’s not forget, Anurag never cheated his wife Prerna or Aparna, whereas the holier than thou leech Bajaj slept with his ex wife’s sister while he was married to Prerna and gave bhashan son true Lou, so much for being the MAN … idiot Buddha 🤢

Balaji actors had camps, one who would be holding up and bootlick Ekta would be favored in writing, Cezzane, Rajeev, Harshad and Iqbal didn’t bootlick the woman, hence these actors had a bumpy ride while it came to writing, some of them left her shows being fed up and some like Harshad just stayed silent and fortunately found better shows.

Anurag was well written, infact much depth, Bajaj was restricted to be with Prerna and have nibba level dialogues at the age of 80, but most tracks were majorly Anurag centered, be it Aparna, Sampada, Prerna’s memory loss, Prem’s kidnapping, Mukti’s ra*e, every track was about Prerna and Anurag only, Bajaj stood in the side to romance Prerna while she fought with villains and her kids taking Anurag as her confidence and so much that Bajaj started crying crocodile tears that even at dada Dadi’s age Prerna shared secrets with Anurag but not him 🤣

I don't think I've loathed nalla Piyush Raheja as much as I've loathed our male abla naar of iTV i.e Anurag Bast*rd Basu..🤣 He won the cake and ate it too, in the department of the "Best spineless Abla Naar" of Indian Television during early 2000s. The only person he would find a spine to stand up to and stand up against, would be Prerna to resist or oppose her.. but his reed ki haddi would magically shrink or disappear when it came to him taking a stand for her against his own mother & vile sister who treated Prerna & her family as a pile of garb.

He slept with his Dad's best friend's daughter, f*cked her, made her pregnant & dumped her when his Mom emotionally blackmailed him. He didn't care that he slept with Prerna in an era where sleeping together outside of wedlock backfires for the girl and her family and he didn't care that the woman he loved lost her Dad in that tragic accident. All his promises of loaVe to her was as good as getting her into the bed, when his words were tested against fiery trials, he flopped with distinction.

He would rather believe Komolika & hand Prem over to her, than believe the woman he supposedly loved & Prerna's thappad ke gunj on Anurag's face after that, with Bajaj running to sambhalo her, won the award imo (both literally & metaphorically) for the best display of beating the sh*t out of a spineless moron on iTV.

Rota raha bees saal & Prerna ko bhi rulaya. The redeemable track in Kasauti was the Bajaj angle that came in! He looked a saint infront of Onu Baba. The only thing I missed seeing was Bajaj going gungho on Onu Baba with a slap or two, for treating Prerna like garb when they lost Prem#1 to Komolika's antics. (That's still cool as Aparna came as Karma for him). Besides Onu Baba was notorious for getting married 3-4 times on the show & for failing in flying colors, every marriage of his.

They were lucky to end Kasauti#1 with Onu-Pre uniting in death, kyunki jeete ji milatein to show doob jata. That was a strategic move to not risk having them back as a couple in the show while the show ran, by giving them the last episode to meet in paradise 🤣

One of the reasons Kasautii#2 was so forgettable & couldn't last beyond a couple years, was the Anu-Pre garb that they attempted showing & flopped at.

KTH was and will remain the GOAT of love stories while Sujal's masculine energy and sexual yet graceful anti-heroism set the bar of angry yound brooding love sick boys followed by Gul's abusive versions for example ASR (no offense to fans). When it comes to Naagins, I really loved Sharad-Surbhi's chemistry initially at season 3 and the starting was actually good, unless Ekta ruined everything, only naagin hero who actually overtook the ladies in terms of popularity and savageness was Veer, and the fact that he himself was super powerish, crazy, wicked not sainted made him unique, better than the lame and C-grade stefen and damon which Ekta is airing now.

I liked IPK for Sanaya's Khushi but Barun was no Sujal Garewal. Heck, he wasn't even the pinkie finger of the likes of Sujal. "What The. What The" was no competition to the range that Sujal's character had of being an anti-hero😆 Arnav Singh Raizada turned into a Joru ka ghulam aka Arnav Kumari Gupta once he fell in love with Khushi & had her, but Sujal was still the Man in the Marriage with Kashish☺️

@Bold - Sujal became iconic because in his quest for Kashish, he never lost himself. He was a strong strong personality, who grabbed the limelight & brought nightmares to the Garewal & Raheja family. He loved her, hated her and loved her, but also loved himself & gave people a tough time for messing with him, including Kashish.😆 (talk about self respect ya'll!) He was no Abla Naar on Indian TV, yeah he cried but he was badass following a tear or two.

It was brilliant when says "I am going to be all that you guys blamed me to be" (5:28 in the below video) and 2:36-2:37 was pure savage!🔥
