Honestly I have a feeling part of the reason why GM may have refused it too was that this is emotionally heavy role to do too and he probably wanted to do something less stressful but lmao again ..🤷🏻‍♀️ jqqne do..but chalo kisi ka nuksaan kisi ka gaayda Caz itna toh teh hai that he did was convinced with the story hence his praises for it and for execution and wishing ke adi ke saath kaam karne ka jaldi mauka mile and how much he is realizing he could have played with it with adi lol.. but yeah this guy has totally surprised me and I am actually liking him a lot as viaan banda solid hai woh "conventionally stone mode" jo fans Kehoe hain as in apne main rehne wala bhi he adds so much in those moments way better than overhyped zeros.. the whole drive back after the thing the suffocation the filthy feeling ek dum aced it..

Adnan is indeed doing a solid job as Viaan....actually he reminds me of NM in some ways cuz Viaan's character has that shade of someone who is so awkward socially despite otherwise being a "suave businessman"....lol those Billuji type traits of getting so tongue-tied and fumbling around Katha😆.....Adnan does add all those touches with the way he will close his eyes and tilt his head to the side when he feels he has messed up or Katha is MU-ing him....and he does manage to emote well with his eyes - all those shades of devastation, self-loathing, fear of Katha😆, then the joy and happiness when Katha so much as says a "hello" to him sometimes😆....he manages to convey all that with his eyes only ki itne mein hi usko duniya mil jaati hai....lol

I also really like how they have been economical about showing the scenes where Viaan takes the lead in calming down Katha....most of the story otherwise goes in his guilt and Katha having the morally righteous upper hand while he feels cowed down in front of her.... but those rare moments where he gets a chance to talk to her assertively and be the one for a change talking lucidly even as Katha is unraveling in panic over Aarav....those moments are amazing in impact cuz they aren't overdone in frequency. The epi when he helps her search for missing Aarav is another fab one.....their car convo there is awesome.

We as viewers knew every thought process of Viaan and why he did what he did, so can feel his intense need to see him as a person who is much more than that kaali raat. The way he says I don’t want you to forgive me, but Atleast acknowledge my presence. Its like he can feel that he is being treated like dirt or filth. He can just literally not face himself.

Oh there is so much I wanted to say about this scene but then I couldn't stop the urge to keep watching the next epi so binge-watch won over essay writing that time😆

I really thought Katha was actually there and finally Viaan managed to convey his thoughts to her😆.....but chalo imagination mein hi sahi, it was so touching the way he just opened up his yearning there....his wish ki he could turn back time and become someone that Katha would just look at the way she looks at someone passing her on the street.....his yearning to even just be a random STRANGER to her rather than this monster he has become in her eyes.....man you really feel for him in that scene.

Waise Viaan is such a cartoon with the way he needs to PREPARE and first talk to HIMSELF about what he wants to say to Katha....lol the way she's like first you figure it out, then call me and I will come to listen to what you have to say.....haha

Woh scene waise isliye bhi funny tha cuz later when Katha showed up for real, he still thought he was imagining her and the way he reached out with that one finger to poke her to see if she was real and the way Katha jumped back all jittery....lol then him being like paani peeke dikhaao, toh main maanunga real ho🤣. Katha at this point seems to have resigned herself to the fact that he's a weirdo🤣

And yes word on how Aarav lights up everyone's life and has been the one ray of sunshine in Viaan's life right now as he grapples with his torment otherwise....it's good that Viaan got this bond build up seperately and something to put a smile on his face to make him think beyond his guilt about Katha.

But yes, we can deffo count on ITV and Sony to ruin this soon after hitting 100 episodes....lol woh track record toh usually consistent hai Sony ka.....matlab even Patiala Babes used to have such FINE writing at one point even though it wasn't as contemporary and low key in its approach as Katha....but ultimately PB ka bhi kachra kar hi diya tha na PH ne....lol so I'm sure yahaan bhi dhoond lenge some way to kachrofy.....but we can enjoy it till then😆

As Fary said, the show will likely go downhill the moment they get Katha-Viaan together or get them married😆....aur yeh jo FIL-MIL are acting so nice right now, yeh pehle fiip maarenge if Katha's second marriage happens....lol inko sirf Aarav se matlab hai and they will throw her under the bus in a heartbeat if they feel that Aarav is not their exclusive grandson anymore....lol

Just a heads up its already started with so many people currently in competition to make Katha a scapegoat.

LOL yes it's not a triangle yet cuz no real "love story" has started yet in that sense. It's just Katha and pretty much everyone in the show obsessed with her one way or the other😆.

Yes, Viaan and Katha have solid UST between them for all kinds of reasons, not just the ONS.....lol....but until it actually moves into a love story officially, can't really call it a triangle.

Katha is focused on her son and her work but at the same time, it is true that she is also feeling a connection to Viaan beyond just the ONS baggage....the way she is curious about his childhood trauma and what shaped him into the way he is today.....the way she smiles when she sees him doing something good. Ehsan aise hi toh itna insecure hua nahin baitha😆.....he can sense the palpable connection between Viaan and Katha no matter how much they both want to deny it....lol

But yes, agreed on the fact ki Katha knows how to put people in their place gently but firmly....the way she is very upfront ki the only man in my life is my son....but Ehsan toh hai hi shameless toh phir bhi chep hota rehta hai. Somewhere, Katha ka yehi no-nonsense "I'm just focused on my work" style only has made the men fall even harder for her....lol....Ehsan is chasing her cuz as Viaan rightly said, Ehsan likes to ACQUIRE valuable things and anyone can see Katha is a gem. Viaan on the other hand is just in pure awe of Katha since the moment he heard the way she thinks about everything from life to buildings....he was done for that day only😆

Finally done with my Katha catch up and what an epi to catch up to - Viaan realizing that he's falling in love with Katha😆

Such a wonderfully written realization scene - beautifully executed👏....it had that whole musing quality to it....started off with some rhetorical questions that Viaan is asking in poetry form to the shaam/raat and navigated through his fear of what the night brings now in terms of haunting memories....then shifted gears to how he doesn't feel that fear anymore kyunki now he sees ek jugnu in the night and that makes him wonder ki aur bhi jugnu hote honge, jaadu bhi hota hoga, bhagwaan bhi hote honge. Man it's so hard to describe the layering to this scene and how beautifully they used poetry to chart through Viaan's state of mind and evolving feelings. That feeling of someone finding light in the darkness and starting to believe in magic and the ultimate magic that love is.

The way they then transitioned to him musing about what love is, and then answering his own question ki haan yeh pyar hi toh hai ki woh ab MUJHSE baat karti hai.....mujhe lagta hai MAIN HOON kyunki ab woh MUJHSE baat karti hai.

And man, what a BEAUTIFUL song Khaare Raste is❤️.....I thought it was an original for the show soundtrack but turns out it was released a year back by someone and is now being used for the show

The scene when they first play this in the show is another one I loved....that recording studio scene when Viaan's childhood friend insists he sing this song that he composed....itne pyar se shot scene....and the lyrics totally suit Viaan-Katha's story.

Teji was always an insecure character with her fixation on whitewashing her late husband's betrayals so I'm not surprised at all to see her flip into hating Katha now....lol woh typical insecure mom wala character toh iska shuru se tha given her excessive dependency on her son and the way she basks in his hero worship of her.

Katha ki bhi galti thi to wade into a sensitive issue by taking a unilateral decision but yes, Viaan made it worse by defending Katha so staunchly in front of his mom😆.....woh ek moment pe total saas-bahu tiff lag raha tha and husband phasaa hua between biwi and maa.

Aage dunno kaise jaayega yeh sab for Viaan cuz right now toh ITV pe saare MLs are hapless momma's boys who get easily fooled by their insecure mom's tricks😆. Katha is smart about handling most people but uska bhi baggage hai I think cuz she feels some level of guilt about Adi's parents feeling she distanced him from them.....woh same situation ka deja vu hoga isko if she ends up with Viaan and starts feeling guilty ki she has distanced him from his mom etc. etc.

Viaan ne already itna hadh level ka kaand story ke shuru mein hi kar diya hai - pata nahin aage if they will flip him to again thinking Katha is a gold-digger, has betrayed him blah blah....cuz it's pretty predictable that is what Teji will try to make him believe since that is her own classist belief system too that being rich makes them targets of greedy women.

On the other side is Ehsan with his insecurity...he will lose his mind if Katha openly starts supporting Viaan over him more....lol and I won't be surprised if he jumps to Pyramid Global to take his revenge from Viaan....Fary ka pyara Harman is waiting there for him😆

I don't want to know the story of the original to know aage ka so I guess I will just wait to see how they keep the adaptation going for ITV....lol....but yes it's clear now ki drama will kick up more with some typical stuff since insecure maa ab aur activate ho gayi hai seeing her son supporting someone else so fiercely.
