Just watched the episode.

A good one with their heart talks and good performance specially dialogue delivery.

Dodo I too think has more story which will be connected to Viaan Or Kathaa. Otherwise they wouldn't have introduced her.Lets hope Mango's will be taken up by CV😁

Their conversation was good but how is it ok if Viaan has tested so many girls for his insecurity, or is it because he started liking Kathaa and so when she asked for money he tested her.

Let's hope he has tested only this girl and he wasn't even attracted to any girls till this time.

Today Ehsan will get his dose of bashing...

It's a very good point.

I actually expected that justification from Viaan. He should have explained how he thought he'll just test her and hoped she wouldn't accept or come to the hotel room deep inside.

After that he should have also explained why he still went through the Night with her, instead of just rebuking her for doing this and shutting her out of his room for being a gold digger as he'd assumed then.

Personally i feel, they just don't have an acceptable justification for that. So they didn't touch that sensitive issue. 😆

Sorry for butting in this conversation...have been following the DT for the past couple of weeks...

And I finally got my answer to why Ekta Kapoor is such a success and why we have such low IQ high decibel shows getting the best TRPs!! And then we blame EK, ITV et al 😉!! We asked for it ! But honestly I do buy your explanation for it esp seeing how the political tamasha plays on news channels in our country🤣

Personally I cannot watch the TRP driven dramas so Katha Ankahee with all its shortcomings and flaws is still like a breath of fresh air😊!!

While I do understand your POV on bringing more angst from Viaan in that scene, I guess they wanted to get Katha and Viaan into a friend zone asap. And Viaan was more controlled cause he was not ready for this conversation. I though he brought out the angst beautifully in his first bare-foot apology. His inner demons are not exorcised fully I feel...but his massive guilt on the awful thing he did has broken a wall inside him. I feel the angst you are looking for will come in no small measure in the future, when Viaan is in love and has to make his mother understand what her staying stuck in the past has cost him, when he has to make her understand his love and accept Katha or when he has to choose between his mother and Katha! When he has to help her mother deal with her delusions and see reality...that her husband was a cheater and she cannot lay the blame on the so called gold-digger! Also, I feel the ONS discussion is not over yet. Yesterday was the first step Katha took towards Viaan...she is still not comfortable talking about it, but with the tea analogy she let him know that she sees him, that she understands him and knows that he is trying to make amends for his past mistakes. That she knows he is much more than that one mistake. And that heartfelt smile was a reassurance to him...it came from her heart! When Katha and Viaan actually fall in love, realise their love and express it...the ONS has to be actually put out in the open between them. For some reason I do trust the creative team of this show to do justice there...fingers crossed😃!!

Also, if you really observe Viann, the inner child inside him has been stifled for so long and has been aching to let go and live life, to be happy without the burden he carries for his mother. I think the real reason he is so traumatised is not just the walkout of his father but because his mother could not cope with the walkout. She must have fallen apart and he must have had to be the adult in their life. And at some point she learnt to cope by living in complete denial.

This is something I have wondered about too...Cause I expected him to not go through with it. (Just started watching about three weeks back and did not know about the OG). Why did he not stop? Was it because he was attracted to Katha at some point already? I don't know if they will ever address that issue? Or they may be scared to explore the ONS too much in depth in case of back lash from the conservative audience.

I agree with you in this matter.. I think Viaan and Katha have only begun to open up to each other. They have a long way ahead.. this is the first step.. I think since Viaan hasn't realized that he is falling for Katha yet he is not ready to self-examine why he actually went through with it. Only after that realization there comes a point to admit that he has been already attracted to Katha at the time of ONS.

So, I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for that confrontation when they both have fallen in love with each other and realize that without addressing that completely they cannot move ahead together...❤️
