According to him Meerab should be thankful that she has Murtasim in his life. The problems in Meerab's life is self created by her. He is totally team Murtasim......kind of justified the slap scene and said "woh thapad Meerab ko nahi, Murtasim ke dil pe pada tha, he falls in love with her after that".

It's not Murtasim's character but this stupid justification by the directors is making me mad. He is a flawed character, why is it so difficult to accept it??

PS: Wahaj was against the slap but Yumna wanted the slap scene.

it’s likeKabir Singh part 2 where they justified the slap. I think yumna is comfortable with both Wahaj and the director as having worked with them previously and she signed up knowing it’s OTT drama she was prepared for such scenes.
How can he fall in love with her cos of a slap. Because she fell into his arms? Rabia echoed my feelings when she said we like murtasim and he isn’t a guy like that so far then why include the slap.

So I’m thinking I’ll skip this interview and enjoy today’s episode. This is supposed to be my mindless entertainment.

I watched Fitoor that was directed by the same guy and the husband slaps his wife in that and there is no apology or remorse that follows. At least we had a little bit of that here. We definitely didn’t need the slap and I’ve blocked that from my memory as well. Fitoor was very regressive… the female lead was abused by her husband and family and they justified it. I only watched it for Wahaj’s performance. He was in a negative role but he was phenomenal. He has so much range!

I hardly doubt she'd have a complex viewpoint about this whole slap discourse. The director should not have taken her name, especially on such a critical topic. With the kind of reservations she has, I am still processing why she accepted this show. Upar se this!

she herself said she does such show for the masses. She does some for herself and others for the people. This is one of them. I think since she knew the director and Wahaj was also finalised and she’s comfortable with both of them she agreed to go ahead. Even the pool scene she agreed cos they were skeptical whether she wud do it or not.

So since murtu unconditionally loves meerab he can get away with anything and meerab should simply surrender herself at the feet of murtu Maharaj?

yeah that’s a known fact. Despite it brought so much popularity for him I don’t think he agreed with edwards characteristic. Even as a teenager I found the story problematic. I guess writer was writing her teenage fantasies.

I don’t understand why is he justifying everything in the name of love.

We audience don't care what's being served as long as we get enough scenes between the leads🤣. If the trp falls the makers will put a rain scene kr a dori scene or a romantic number with the leads dancing around to increase the rating🤣

not to forget the weddings and separation after having a kid with dad not knowing it’s existence. I remember watching yeh rishta s1 and the wedding went on for almost a month. My family was asking me isn’t it over yet. Cos they saw Akshara in the same bridal dress every day. ITV mostly exists cos of the leads chemistry. Story is out of the window

I don’t think there will be another drama like Tere Bin for a long time where the leads share a lot of romantic scenes and the hero is intense but not toxic (no kidnapping, not a spoiled rich brat, etc.). On the surface it looks like a typical OTT production with toxic hero like Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi as most recent example. But no it’s all about the leads and Murtasim is not obsessive stalker or abusive. And Meerab is not crying meek heroine.

Can people ever be satisfied

When there r less scenes of the leads and drama focuses on story ....the way it was in dil na ummeed Toh Nahin.....I saw people crying and cribbing and complaining why yumna wahaj wasn't given proper screentime ...more scenes ....more romance ....given whatever scenes they had there was beautiful

And here when we r getting it .....given the story is actually about them developing a relationship and we r getting to watch different phases of the relationship growth of the 2 leads....here also the viewers have a problem

And someone said before that this show is "below" yumna..... LMAO....her last show with 7th sky RAAZ E ULFAT was complete trash

This show is 1000 times better than Raaz e ulfat and the so called high calibre social message show bakhtawar....and why is commercial drama termed only doing for money for the artists

Why isn't the quotient of entertainment ever addressed

Someone said something about fitoor being regressive......Hiba being abused by FQ and family.....HELLO THERE .....fitoor was progressive coz when FQ questioned about her character she refused to give any justification and threw it on fq face that he can get away with it for being a man and she is questioned for being a girl

That confrontation scene between Hiba and Fq family where she gave her a tit for tat was amazing

Fq and his family was good to Hiba

He was tolerant even after knowing about her wanting to go back to wahaj

He even took her back given wahaj killed their unborn baby

Fitoor wasn't toxic .....they showed woman can make mistakes and they should also be given a 2nd chance

My god so much happened today, I don’t know whether to scream, swoon, review, or complain.

first let me scream the behooda director Saara mazaa Karaab kar diya, on the day arguably of the best episode of tere bin he ruined it with his nonsensical regressive bakwaas. Every stupid thing he said made my blood boil, only because I felt the most bad for wahaj and yumna. Here they are putting their heart and soul in their characters and in this show, their own director undermines the magic they have created. Director was stripping the show of any nuance, depth, logic, and morality. He wasn’t promoting the show, he might as well said yeah I hate the show I hate women I hate the audience too please dont watch. Why did he have to speak today and ruin this day for us.

I want to rant some over but must stop. Further comments in other posts don’t want this to be a thesis.
